I never got around to play Fallout 3 when it was released, so I'd like to catch up on that now. Since I know that its predecessors, FO2 and Morrowind/Oblivion, were great games but also buggy as hell, I expect this will also hold true for FO3. So, are there any official and / or inofficial patches, fixes, expansions / DLCs, "unfinished business" mods etc. that will improve the game experience while also not changing the game fundamentally from what the developers intended it to be?
I've also heard about the "Tale of Two Wastelands" Mod which integrates FO3 into New Vegas and allows you to play both games as one. Does this make sense for playing as a first timer? Is it compatible with mods etc. for FO3?
