I'm curious, has anyone had any problems with the second Dermal Impact Armor not granting a DR bonus, but still causing the loss of 1 CHA ? I've had the doc in San Fran do the procedure a few times after re-loading, and it won't give me the bonus. Maybe my Toughness 2 is interfering with it, or is it a bug ? Any help on the matter would be appreciated...
 
Hm, looks like I solved my own problem. The doc in VC installs the implants just fine.. the bastard just charges me more to make it work :P Sorry for taking up space with something I fixed myself.
 
Just to clarify the matter: Yes, the Level 2 implants with Dr Fung are bugged. Fung's script adds the lvl2 perk without removing the lvl1 perk, causing the game to ignore the former perhaps, thus rendering no DR bonus. The solution: Perform the lvl2 operation elsewhere (Redding is cheaper than VC, but you have to first elicit the information about his medical experience from VC from Doc Johnson)

It is rumored that performing the lvl1 operations in VC or Redding and the Lvl2 operations in San Fran can bring you a total bonus of 15% (more than 10% from the standard lvl2 implants) , so you may want to try that.....
 
Hm, thanks for letting me know all that. It's too late for me to get the level 1 implants though, as I don't have a save from back then, but I think I'll try for that 15% with my next character.

Oh, and now that I think of it, I did notice I had both Dermal Implant perks listed when I tried it in San Fran, so that was definitely the problem. Thanks again.
