Fallout: New Vegas in the most anticipated race

Gamespot is polling readers for their most anticipated game of E3. When Bethesda posted about it, Fallout: New Vegas was 4th, it now seems to be 3rd behind Crysis 2 and Gears of War 3. Be sure to vote!

And be sure to note that of all those titles, only the Last Guardian is (more or less depending on its Ico-connection) a fresh IP, the rest are all sequels and franchise games. Wow, game industry, just...wow.
 
Man the game industry is in a deep creative slump. It's getting as bad the eternal rotation of "re-imaginings" Hollywood keeps tossing our way.

Yes. It's currently 5th, with Zelda Wii and the above-mentioned titles in front of it.

This is a list of "Most Anticipated" games. It shouldn't be surprising that most aren't fresh IPs. People get excited about sequels to games they loved.

Last year it was games like Killzone 2, Bioshock 2, RE5, etc.
 
Sorry, but my loyalty for Zelda is greater than any anticipation for Fallout....

But New Vegas is right behind Zelda!(in my mind)
 
Star Wars Old Republic beats out New Vegas for me, without question but New Vegas is just right behind it.

I did go ahead and vote for Fallout New Vegas though, Old Republic is a star wars game its going to get plenty of votes.
 
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 got my vote, I know nothing about it but if it's as good as it's predecessors then it deserves my vote. I think Drifter's partly right about why we see so many sequels on the list but I agree with your sentiment, these fucking sequels are out of hand.

You forgot Final Fantasy XCVI-36, The Sims 6 + 50 expansions + 105 DLC's, Tomb Raider 33: That part of Lara's life we still haven't talked about, Super Megaman 500-bit XXX-Turbo-Xtreme-Deluxe-Diamond-Collector's edition-Helmet included-For true gamers-pack and Fallout 8: Revenge of the Enclave.
 
Fuck The Old Republic. Bioware is just selling out to the MMO scene. They basically gave a nice "fuck you" to all the loyal fans of the first two KOTOR's. Sorry assholes, but I'm not shelling $1k for a comp to run your shitty game.

Crysis is overrated as well. It's more linear than the first one so how can anyone be excited about that over Halo: Reach, which has more freedom? I think the fuckers that took the beta too seriously voted for Crysis 2 as some sort of revenge. Gamespot.com is home to the internet's biggest fucking gaming noobs. What a surprise...
 
Funny, for me the most anticipated game is War in the East : The Struggle For Russia. Been waiting for a 'sequel' to Gary Grigsby's War in Russia for 17 years and finally it looks like this is going to be it!
