Fallout Tactics: Essential for the Classic Collection?

I noticed that there is a collection on Steam entitled the "Fallout Classic Collection", which contains Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. But I'm not sure about Tactics, since it's a completely different game from 1 and 2. Do you guys think it's essential to buy if I want the full classic Fallout experience?

It's mostly canon, so yes.

It's not really the same type of game, so you can skip it, but it's not an outright bad game, so try it if you like tactical games. It basically comes "free" in the collection anyway, right?

It's not essential and I still struggle to sit down and play it. It's definitely not my favorite in the series. I do find somethings interesting about it though.

It's a rough start but the longer you play it the more it "clicks", if you already own it your might as well try to bash your head against the wall until your brain is the right kinda mush to understand it.
