No, they are content with their work on the mod. My take is they let this autistic furry do some heavy menial work and disposed of him when the mere notion of drama become visible on a horizon.

One of the editors for this mod, Nyaalich, wrote a 114 chapter long rape fic about Fallout 3. I've read the chapter where the really bad rape scene happened, chapter 70, and my advice to you guys is to NOT read it. It was one of the most sickening things I have ever read in my life. The furry pedo is just icing on the cake. Why the hell didn't Mac, the project lead, do a background check on members of his team during the 7 years of development time that the mod was in I will never know.

 

I literally cannot believe this mod is real. Just absolutely incredible. This has actually given me respect for New California for being restrained by comparison, which is saying a fucking lot.

New Vegas is deeply injected with real-world politics, by the way.

Yes but Obsidian back then was way more subtle. The NCR campaign in the Mojave was more or less a commentary on America's expansion in the Middle East yet the writers were able to restrain themselves and instead wanted the players to come to their own conclusions after presenting their arguments. With The Frontier team they are like "hur dur! Fascism bad! Enclave are Trump supporters! Enclave is racist!"
There is no intelligence and no thought put into this kind of writing. If you want to portray politics in your work then you need to present your argument and the many different outcomes for your political views. It can't be "My views are right and everyone else is wrong!"

 

Well, this escalated quickly.

 

I don't disagree at all. I just think people too often say "Politics in video games bad" when really there are so many politically infused games, and you could actually do insightful injection of contemporary politics into a video game. What matters (obviously) is the quality of the writing itself.

New Vegas was written by accomplished writers one of which was a well-read history graduate. The Frontier is made by pedo weirdo discord users.

A lot of weirdy stuff is starting to come from Telegram as well. The few devs it has tey to get shit under control but there will always be dorks to ruin it.

 

Dev team is now memory holing its Twitter. So, uh, think this is going to get a Steam release?

 

well, /v/ smelled blood in the water and raided till they had to lock the discord. Devs say they will produce one more build, sans some of the questionable America dialogue, the creep's reference item, and the voicework of several actors who wished to be removed. They say they'll push out the steam build and be done with the project.

 

I made a post not long back about how Fallout was being ruined by degenerate shit like this.

 

You should have invested in that!
