Fallout TV Series Season 2 teaser trailer out

PaxVenire

Vault Dweller

Seemingly confirms a somewhat canonized House ending mixed with Fallout: Dust? Legion is still active, interesting. Meanwhile, no NCR in the trailer, unless I missed them. Legion ending somewhat canon (based)? Maybe they're to blame for the BoS' weird Latin cult influence in the show or something. Also apparently Mr. House (who’s been recasted it seems) is to blame for kicking off the war? What? The Kings are feral ghouls and there's a Deathclaw. Yup. I wonder if we’ll see the Courier or get to know the fate of him.

From what I remember, the first season mostly shit on Fallout 1 and 2 lore, except that one scene with Mr House at the end.
I wonder if this one will get more backlash because the New Vegas fanbase is significantly larger and more recent?

Also, has there been any super mutants on this show yet? I don't recall, and I still haven't watched the first season. Doesn't look like there's gonna be any here either? I guess they would suck up the CGI budget too much?

I don’t want to watch the trailer but if this is true, we’ve gone from House being a part of the meeting to destroy the world but somehow not getting the platinum chip ready in time, to House being THE guy that started the war but not waiting at least one day for the platinum chip to be delivered to him?

Seems like if I had a checklist for mutants to appear in a Fallout show it would go Ghouls, Super Mutants, Deathclaws, Brahmin, Radscorpions, Giant Rats. Instead we get Ghouls, Bears, Radroaches, Gulpers(?), and an unmutated fawn? Good on them for getting ghouls and roaches I guess.

Ah damn, a double post! My sincerest apologies…

Hmmm interesting, and yes I've already known about how badly season 1 butchered Fallout 1's lore/story, but how did it also ruin Fallout 2's lore?

Can you, or anybody else on here give me the specifics on the matter???

I know that season 1 shitting all over Fallout 1 also shits on Fallout 2 and New Vegas by changing major established lore by making the master dumb or not even exist since he somehow failed to find vault 31, 32, and 33 despite being in LA, meaning the Vault Dweller wouldn't have been exiled and not creating Arroyo along with The Chosen One. Another change is relocating Shady Sands from its original location in the middle of a desert to LA, which fundamentally alters how NCR grows and expands in Fallout 2 and New Vegas.

the ncr didn't find the 4 vaults in the century they existed in, especially when they wanted to get vaults for technology like vault 13, 15, 8 and vault city during fallout 2, and they existed inside their lands

It really didn’t do anything with Fallout 2’s lore except as it relates to Fallout 1’s lore. But as far as New Vegas goes, saying Shady Sands got nuked in 2277 really messes with New Vegas’s timeline which takes place a few years later.

It seems like they intend for it to have been nuked sometime between NV and the game's start date. I care less about the 2277 fall thing and more the fact it got nuked in the first place. That killed my interest in the series permanently. I just don't care to see how it progresses from here out.

Ohh, the hate Bethesda dumbasses have for New Vegas fans will rise even higher. Can't wait honestly, the amount of cope and seething they will do when a lot of New Vegas are tearing this shit to shreds is gonna reach galactic levels.

I ain't watching this shit though.

Yeah, you get attacked on sight for even mildly disliking the show, and any thread about the TV show is full of people saying "Oh man wait til the NV fan see this! They'll be so owned!" like...what? I thought "NV fans" were supposed to be the toxic ones.

Despite how massive the lore break with Mr. House is, the solution is fairly simple. If the script just reveals that Mr. House was *not* onboard with the Vault Experiments, and instead being responsible for all the Control Vaults. He played along at the meeting in the Season 1 finale so he wouldn't be executed or be smeared as a traitor. That scene reminded me of the opening to Real Genuis. The black officer was disgusted by the plan to make the death laser, said he quit the project, and was killed immediately when he left the room. Robert House still would want to be involved with Vault Tec, but would return to caring about the survival of the human race and not "a significant investment", like he should be.

Anyway, that's how that scene should have gone; him interrupting the brainstorming saying: "I'm ready to buy 11 Vaults right now, no experiment ... Think of them as 'control variables'."
