Fallout v.1.3.5 patch by TeamX (unofficial) installation... should it say so when you load up?

Hi fellow wanderers,

Simple question, when I've extracted the files and started the game up, should it say Fallout v.1.3.5 patch by TeamX (unofficial) or not. Currently mine just says 1.2, and I'm wondering if I have installed it correctly.

Let me know any way I can check and I will be in your debt.

I have the same question. Even the Res Config panel mentions TeamX patch 1.2 but v1.3.5 is nowhere to be seen. Maybe it's just a cosmetic thing since the files extracted correctly in the game directory but I'd like to know for sure.

Are you using F1's sfall? it has a "VersionString=" flag in the ddraw.ini where this can be set. I don't believe 1.3.5 sets it, as it doesn't come packaged with sfall or a copy of the fallout binary. The binary, falloutw.exe, is where the version string is originally stored and could be hex edited to change it if you didn't use sfall. With no new .exe in 1.3.5 and no sfall, you'll see whatever is packed into the 1.2.1 RC binary.
