First timer: which mod?

I played Fallout 1+2 xx-times but never touched tactics!

Which mod would you suggest for a first-timer?

If you've never played tactics before then just play the original game for the first time with the 1.27 patch. After you've completed the game theirs a conversion mod called Awaken thats really good.
