KEY TO THE HIDDEN DOOR

Hi everyone. I played Fallout 1 a while back.. have just replayed it and I'm very near the end.

I have just blown up the Military base. And I'm heading back to the cathedral to get the Master. ALAS!! I visited the Cathedral a while back and blew them al up. I have since lost the special Key that allows me to pass the hidden door. It could be at a trader somewhere, it could be in the middle of the DESERT!!!! AHHHH!

Any ideas?? I CAN'T GET PAST!

You could try lockpicking the door. You need a good lockpick skill and probably an electronic lockpick. If you can't do that, you'll have to yse one of the two other means of defeating the Master.

if you're talking about the hidden door next to the bookcase in the basement of the cathedral, you shouldn't worry. if you wait long enough, a bad guy will walk through it and ask you what the hell you think you're doing there. huh! just shoot him.
if - on the other hand - you are talking about the door that leads to the basement and you lost the key, then you'll need high lockpick skills (imho: you should always tag that skill anyway).

Uh...I've a bit hard to understand what you wrote but I'll try to help...

Well there are three doors of importence in the Cathedral

Door one: Down to the basement

How to get past it...

1) Pick the look.

2) Get the key (either steal it from Morpheus or kill him for it).

3) Blow up the door.

Door two: Bookcase

1) You need LK, PE and a decent trap skill for this. First stand next beside it. If you get a message that there is something notable about it use your trap skill on it to discover a secret switch and the door will open.

2) Wait until Jeremiha walks through it and then kill him or talk your way past him.

3) Wait until one of your NPCs walks through it (hehehe first time I came to that door Tandi just ran through it as if she knew that there was a door there).

Door three: To the bomb

1) Lockpick the elevatordoor and the door to the bomb.
