[FO2] Help! What Purpose does the Robot in Klamath Serve?

All,
In Klamath, in the whirly-bird crash site there is a robot. When you meet it has a crippled right limb. I have been able to repair it, but that is all I can get it to do. What (if any) function does this robot serve?
(On a side note, I also found a yellow security card on the dead enclave guard at the crash site)

The robot is an easter egg (kind of - listen to what it says) ,the corpses give you a yellow reactor card (never found any use for it though) - but only the first time you enter the area. Think of it as a special encounter thats always there.

The robot will attack you try to rescue Torr, after you help the Dunton's rustle the brahmins, of course.
