Toxic Caves

Hi

At the Toxic Caves there is an elevator and a computer. These don't seem to work. Are they mere dressing or can I access them ?

Yes, you can very much access them, but not very early in the game. You will need decent repair skill (around 80% I'd say) to repair the generator, and you will need an Electronic Lockpick (or electronic lockpick mk.2) to open the doors. Once you get inside, be sure to save before entering the elevator

What's down that thar elvaterur? I've heard walkthroughs describe a robot, like the one's from Sierra, but that it, do you mean be scared of one, single rocket launching model kit? I'm like lvl 25 or so with tons 'o party members (I'll post how I got all of e'm later), so would I really have to be scard of the doof? I mean I heard he fires x-tra rockets, but I can handle 10-15 rockets or so, no hacks, just smart usage of perks, and not to mention Advenced Power Armor Anyway, again, just in case you forgot during my ramblings, do I really have to be scared of HunkaJunk?

For a level 25 character, you can almost punch the damn piece of crap to death, he'll be no problem unless you got any party members that can't wear armor. But for a character without power armor of any kind, he will prove tough.

And Debugr, you'll DEFINITELY want to go down there! There's a set of combat armor mk2 and lots of ammo (even 2mm EC ammo!) down there, so it's well worth the ammo spent on the robot.

Funny enough, one time I DID punch that bastard to death...

The stockpile down there is pretty stinking nice, but it's a good idea to get it as early as possible. Mk2 combat armor and all the other weapons and ammo down there can be PREEEEEEETTY useful for a beginning character.
