That plus all the crappy weather that DC has gotten over the past four years suggests that Bush's evengelical nature has stirred the wrath of God.

You mean all those hurricanes were merely a precaution? Wow, I cannot even imagine what will happen if Bush gets reelected. A cataclysmic earthquake in Florida? A volcanic erruption in DC? A metheor shower in every state that voted for Bush?
Nah, more likely an increasing number of destructive hurricanes, rise of sea level, floods and generally fucked-up climate, because increased number of hurricanes is just one of many effects of global warming. That those hurricanes laid waste to those parts of USA where people voted for the very administration that continuously and shortsightedly refuses to sign the Kyoto protocol is not supernatural - just damn ironic.
