i keep getting this error when i try to run the rebellion campaign and i have 1.27 patch so i dunno know what is wrong with it as i excracted everything like it was supose to have been. So can someone help me out here?

That's an old one, IIRC MV used to put an extra folder in his path, instead of mv\missions or rebellion\missions (or whatever) he had mv\core\missions.

Basically the rebellion.mis is in the wrong place, try moving it to core/missions/.

thanks i tryed doing as you said but i still get the same message i'm gonna try a fresh install of the game to see if that was the problem maybe it was a mod i install earlier and though i removed thats miss with things

no they where in the right place just reading the wrong pathway to open them ... i made the shortcut to the launcher and not the executable BOS.exe was the problem now if i could only get mission texts to work goign to go play around till i get it work i guess thanks thou.

Ugh, I always use the 'run' command line option rather than making a shortcut. Otherwise I'd have around 20 shortcuts for FOT on my desktop.

The missing speech is due to MV not installing the game on his c:\ drive IIRC. You'll need to open each map in the editor (using the path command) and then press f7 and speech file. Then in the pop up window locate the correct speech file and then save the map.

yeah well doing that gets it to work if you play it as a mission but not as a campaign which makes the other maps unplayable right now so yeah i guess its not gonna be a good campagin if things don't work right and i have absolutly no modding expierence to fix this stuff but i did mainage to play the first mission and it was quite fun.

Doing which, using the command line or opening the maps in the editor?

I don't have rebellion installed right now but I'll dig it up and have a look at the install instructions later.

Edit.

Did you follow this bit in rebellion 2's read me?
1) If you've tried to play every version of the first Rebellion map with no success (i.e. the speech for the map doesn't work), you should put the rebellion_speech.txt into Fallout Tactics\Max-V\core\locale\missions\Rebellion\

I just realized as I was typing this readme that Rebellion's readme is incorrect on where to put the speech file. My bad! :(

yes only to find it still in there but i'll try it again latter i had started a new game of the orginal campaign and me being the lazy type only uses quick save well....i jumped and pressed the quick save keys as my main guy was being blown up be a mine i thought i had disabled and my only save is back in pretoria or somethin and i was in jefferson i think. so right now i'm a little pissed at FOT cuz i spent a while killing those mutties in st. louis to get all the good stuff..... took forever to get into the compound they have there

Use more save slots, especially since they're not even technically limited in FT.

yeah i know but like i said i'm lasy and its much easier to just click alt+s than goto menu press save then click new save type thingie

bleh just means i have a chance of going back through using less ammo this time as i know whats gonna pop out at me besides i had fun going through sait louis except for that burke a hole should let him blow up i thinknow that i think about bleh just because(-_-") i'm a tribal doesn't give him the right to talk down to me sence he can't even disarm himself stupid pure bloods

Anyway thanks req. but i give up on fixing rebellion i had a fun go with the first mission but i don't really care to go through it again if i can't get into the other parts.

As long as you keep a save game from near the end you won't need to replay the level if you get the other's working.

And try Ctrl & S once in a while, you'll still have to click on new save but it'll save you a few less clicks.

Love it, but it should apply to those making games more often.
