I am Serge, master of unDAT division at http://www.fallout.ru. We have hacked out lot of a in-DAT files ourselves so we made a many utilities and docs about various internal formats (such as *pro) and have some global MOD ideas (not just like changed weapons). If anyone has experience and interest in serious Fallout 2 hacking, welcome - just write me to <undat@fallout.ru>. Soon, we plan to hack *map and *int formats - maps and the scripts. (first results available). Then first simplest MOD may come. (MOD - I mean not a "super-over-three-handed-gredunza-laying-on-the-roof-@-Enclave" ;))) I mean standalone MOD with its own maps and story.)

For now, all docs available in russian language only. But i think you could download some files anyway %) BTW, I have not seen some of them (couple of other extractors, for example) on NMA yet.

Can I translate your work?

I have downloaded all the important work done on your site, and I have started to translate it from Russian to English, do you mind me doing so if I still give you full credit for all of your work?

BTW, I am having trouble translating a couple of words.

Of course you can translate it. You can add yourself as translator to the "credits" section of each doc. But "credits" should not be removed/changed for any other purpose.

I dont know will you have lot of a time - some docs (like *map format) updates often, so that it needs to be slightly retranslated each time.
