I jammed a lock

A not-very-thorough search through the forums didn't turn up an answer, so here's my question.

I'm playing through Fallout 2 for the second time, and I've just gotten to the Raider base south of Vault City. I tried to pick the lock on the first gate, but my abysmally low Lockpick skill caused me to jam the lock. I tried repairing it with a skill of 78, but it didn't work. Is there any way I can fix the lock?

jammed doors? in Fallout 2? Correct me if I'm wrong but why don't you blast the door open with your awesome superweapons...

IF I remember correctly , you can still try to open jammed locks with lockpicks, or quickload
