Memory Problem

First time out of the vault
Howdy,
i run my fallout3 on a vista home premium x64 system. It has 4GB of ram and houses a Evga Gforce 8800 GT 1GB in it.
The cpu is a quad core. But i noticed that fallout tells me (or is it windows) that i am low on ram. How can that be? Because after i get this message it starts to lag. ?!?!?!?
 
You haven't made the mistake of eliminating or greatly reducing your Page File's size, have you? If so, bad mistake. Put it back!
