I noticed you didn't apply the "autocutting" feature in the Frame Animator...it will reduce the size of the FRM by half, and I don't think it will have any detrimental effects, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
You could add a flamer end instead of the minigun end. It's a robot, they can have them hidden in the arm.
robot flamer is great, but i suggest using that extended flamer animation - the flame burns twice as longer and farther
No, you're right, it has a lot of 'extra' background but what's the harm? i didn't want to have to mess with frame offsets you see. But then i would have to do the whole flamer set instead of just one animation. On a side note, now that i think about it, this robot critter doesn't have a big gun (K) set, but the flamer animation is part of that set (KL), so i suppose that for idle, walking and the rest, adding re-named minigun set (L) animations would be apropriate. Improved flamer is .Pixote's job.
And we are all friends here, ask him and bet he'll authorize the use of that beautiful extended flame for your robot flaming attack Or... are you trying to say he should do it, aka throwing the ball to him? That's is also acceptable
Does this mean that we soon have a full baldie/longhair/normal dude set? Pixote, you are a god amongst men!
I agree, well done Pixote! truly you seem divine. But you guys haven't forgot the female part of this game, have you? :p I mean, playing a female in Fallout 2 opens up a few new things, and also there isnt *only* men playing this game In this thread there seems to be mostly male works being done
The girlie has been made - but I'm using the original female tribals to work from, so there is no SMG animations unfortunately. Remember these animations are only designed for the Temple of Trials, I know it seems crazy all this work for just 10 minutes of game play - but I'm a crazy sort of guy. All of these files will be available for mod makers - hopefully they will also make an appearance in Mutants Rising. .................. ...............
Yes, I know what theese animations will be for and that is what makes it even more impressive to some, this may be a little change, but small details are what made this game so much fun to begin with. So for someone to put so much work into such a "little detail" is pretty awesome to put it mildly But what I really meant with my last post is that there are animations being built for all the male "variations" (long haired, bald dude) but there does not seem to be any love for the female variations (redhead) And yeah... I kinda wish that I had the time to do something about that myself, instead of talking about it, but alas, it is not the case >.< All the fancyness in this thread just makes one drooling after more I guess
Eventually the new girls will come - probably Miss Red Head, and possibly another long hair chick The problem is that most of the female critters don't have all of the weapon animations (for running, falling, dying, - these aren't a problem, its the big-guns, rocket launcher, mini-gun). We can obviously use the normal female heroes body, but getting the correct gun flash on the face can be tricky. It can be done - but a new Red Head and a new Long hair girl, all up, will be about 100,000 frames of animation, and will require a small team of dedicated workers. There are quite a few interesting female heads available - the ones already wearing armor would save us some time.
I personally would love the green hair punk the most. :p I even started to do it a long time ago, but stopped pretty fast, because it was such a shit-job.
I agree, a complete set of Vault dwellers, with all weapons, etc, without any numbers should be a high propriety - it would mean any mod can use a Vault dweller without the vault 13 reference, and from there we could change the heads and create a whole new army of vault dwellers...boys and girls...tech men, and not just the heroes types...*starts drolling*...one day, one day, one day...*echoes* - in other words - PROBABLY NEVER. ...
Some subtle changes such as a blue/pink-haired female punk should do the trick as they don't seem to be much time-consuming.
