This mod is basically the only reason i spent time playing the much nerfed latest installment of HoI series. The mod added not just Choose Your Own Adventure like mission and graphical content, but also added way to emulate robotic armies to not costing your manpower at all and other cool stuff like scavenging mission decision from recovering limited high equipment to lost bunker in Area 51. From the latest update i heard they added rework of the vanilla supply system, basically making some faction being more dependent on infrastructure while some thrive in the absence of it like the Legion. It's not a reskin of hoi4 definitely, got its own mechanic and soul.

Just check it here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2265420196

This mod is insanely cool and excellent fodder for PnP worldbuilding. I wish I had the brain for strategy games to give it a try. It also approaches the worldbuilding from a definite west-coast/Interplay/Obsidian biased lean which is nice too. Although, I do have some problems with the BoS being everywhere.

I miss you man. You always liked my status about expansion to existing Fallout lore, even if bordering fanfic writing.

I like the mod's ambition but certain things are just...ugh. That entire Cuba/Haiti thing for instance. So they leave the Midwest until later but cover some shitty pirate update first? I want to scream.

On one hand I want to buy this game just to play this mod on the other hand I feel like I might just wait a few more years until they finish it especially if they are this retarded with their new content. I know the last update 9.0 is simply due to that shitty Fallout 4 Miami mod and it makes me wanna puke inside my gas mask I am for sure wearing right now.

They seem itching for any excuse to revamp the existing naval warfare and techs. It's less more of wanting their own fanfics although it could be possibly so.

But tbh, you should be rightly suspect the moment they added lots of fanfic to fill Mexico. None of which are based from existing source material, both canon or semi-canon.

I understand them needing content to fill slots but I would use Fountain of Dreams lore (which to be fair is garbage but I like clowns) before I made up shit about Cuba. Do I need DLC to do this mod?

No you don't need all DLCs. But owning certain DLC would let you gain access to unique features that are modified to suit the mod unique setting. There Waking the Tiger DLC if you want to turn the game into closer to RPG with traits. Or La Resistance DLC which got very nice espionage system (one feature is to make occupation very pain in the ass as your forces are depicted facing protracted insurgency). So a faction like Caesar's Legion would thrive and able to utilize their key strength with such DLC.

That is what I thought. So my OCD said I need the DLC. What all DLC is supported by the mod?

What all DLC is supported by the mod?
- Together for Victory (Custom Puppet types, Shared Tech Research for Cartel nations)
- Waking the Tiger (SPECIAL traits for Commander, General abilities such as Mini Nukes, Artillery, and Helios 1 Kill-Sat)
- La Resistance (Espionage)
- Man's the Gun (Naval units module)
- Not One Step Back ( sub-doctrines research perks, Power Armor modules, and what I guess is a framework for siege artillery, assets are generally being used by lots of OWB submods than the main mod itself)

@Jebus someone seems need your help!

But hey, you don't need every one of them. In fact for first time playing the mod, you might get overwhelmed and frustrated as you do map painting.

My recommendation is just get Waking the Tiger DLC. Espionage might be cool, but quite requiring micromanagement on top of already heavy-micro gameplay. Although for scenario like Operation Sunburst, espionage is kind of vital especially after the recent update.
