I was just curious as to what people thought about FOT so far... I have heard a lot of people talking about bugs and that kinda stuff.

I miss having dialogue options like the first two games. It makes me wonder what the value of perks like "Negotiator" is worth. Ever use it at all? What would you talk yourself into or out of if you never have a chance to "talk?"

No dialogue trees also make multiple endings hell for modmakers, like my team, who would have had a beautifully dramatic ending but might have to cancel the big choice that it all resides on as a result... :(

Hasta la victoria siempre!

What I miss the most is resting (and scaring people), In fallout people would just throw their arms up in the air and run away. I like that. :) If someone were shooting at me I'd like to think that I would be smart enough to throw my hands up in the air, screaming bloody murder and run away. Unless they were really close then I guess I'd just have to stand there and say Ouch! I don't like just standing there shooting some guy.(look! we're two feet away from each other and have shot each other about 8 times. How you doing?) but then again it is a tactics game. Kinda like final fantasy tactics. although that still seemed like roll playing.

I like the new combat system and some of the new enemys are good but the story is not on par with previous fallout games and lacks the level of interactivity that was in fallout games(such as hacking which actually allowed science to be useful)

I think the game is great!
I havn't discovered any bugs yet and I'm in St. Louis...

Just a bit boring that the weapons the quartermasters doesn't have better weapons then you can find in field...

The game should not have the name of fallout.. it's just an imitation of Jagged Alliance 2 using fallout's combat system and fallout's background story.. it falls short on too many things and can't even compare to JA2 in term of realistic combat.

Milo is right, this is just an exploit of Fallout's franchise.

Overall I like it, I have gotten enough gameplay out of it to justify buying it unlike some other games, I hope that this is a preview of sorts of fallout 3, i.e. this combat system with roleplaying like the other 2 had. :)

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON May-03-01 AT 09:19PM (GMT)[p]The majority of my problems are more or less technical ones. I actually found the storyline to be really cool, but they really should have laid off the numerous numerous pop-culture references. Sure, they make a game fun, but the coolest part about them is finding them.

About 3/4 of the way through the game, I really lost interest in the story because at that point then entire game became one big pop-culture reference, quietly laying dormant since Mission 3.
But anyway, the reason I like the story is because it's something new. It shows that the area of California that FO1 & FO2 take place is not the definitive center of the universe. At first I did find the zeppelins a little hard to believe...but then I though: "This is a group that can make power armor with enough self-contained energy to last 100 years, I'm sure they can recreate early early 20th century technology." (...but they still can't supply me with enough dang shotgun shells :o)

I won't even complain about the QMs, because I really have nothing to say that someone else has already.

All in all, I really enjoy the game, and thing it's very good for what it does: being a strategy game (emphasis on "strategy"). Yes, I agree that it really is nothing but another chance to capitalize on Fallout's success, but that doesn't mean I have to like it any less.

but anyway....shouldn't this be on the discussion forum or something? x_X

Yes actually it is but wasn't thinking to hard at the time. All i really thought was that this was the BOS forum.

Sorry for any incovenience.
