Power of the Atom - Disarming after using Fusion Pulse Charg

So I went and used the Fusion Pulse Charge rigging the bomb to explode. However after going to Ten penny tower I got cold feet on pushing the button and instead shot Burke and alastair Ten penny dead. However, Now I cant seem to Disarm the bomb in Megaton. When I try it says that the bomb is rigged to blow from elsewhere.

Am I screwed here? cant seem to complete Power of the Atom now or I can only really set off the bomb and no longer disarm the bomb?

Please let me know if there is a way to still Disarm the bomb?

You can not disarm the bomb. Once rigged, it's rigged, so you can now blow it up or forget about the quest.

I'm sure there's some advanced console work that could be done, but short of that, you'll just have to ignore the quest.

There's probably a simple console command to remove the quest from your Pip Boy, however.
