Quicksave Corruption

Is it true that the Quicksave feature can corrupt your game? I've had to make around five new saves but they always start crashing once I get to around six hours of gameplay, and I crashed when the game autosaves, or when I quicksave. My last character had this crashing problem and I tried playing without quicksaving and I turned off autosave but I still crashed.

I lost my level 26 character to this problem.

The only time i had a problem like this was before adding the unofficial patch my autosave was fucked by my normal save just a few minutes earlier worked.
