I've been using the Restoration project and it works fine for me. But I recently changed the resolution of the game and now nothing shows up-- when I boot the game it is only a white screen. I can get out of the game using "ESC" key, etc, but I'm not sure how to fix the problem.

Could someone either tell me how to manually go into settings file and restore the lousy resolution-- or tell me if there is a solution to the problem that would let me play high-res?

Thanks for your help! BTW, running Windows 7.

Open f2_res.ini file, that's what you need. (instructions are inside the file)

    edit:
also, open ddraw.ini file and set the monitor's native resolution for sfall.

Great, worked nicely. Setting sfall to display option 4 rather than 0 fixed my problem.

Edit: Even though it worked nicely, all the text has become magically unreadable-- even at one step up from the standard low res. It's all blurred together. So I guess that I'll just keep playing my low-res game. Thanks for the help, though!

Blurred text? Hm, this can be solved, I'm sure. You need to find a correct ratio between the sfall scaling and the high-res patch resolution setting, for your monitor.
Try to read through this short topic, it's similar problem:

    Good luck.

Sorry to intrude in the conversation, but I'm having the exact same bug as the OP and no amount of tampering with ddraw or f2_res.ini has solved it; the bug persists even after doing a full reinstall from scratch of both the vanilla game and the entire mod. SFall (or DX9) somehow remembers the buggy configuration across reinstalls. If it's not too late to resurrect this topic, does anybody know what can I do?

    Thanks!
