Anybody wanna set up some online games?
*cross post from tO*
Sniper Elite (If you are in fact talking about the game Sniper Elite, who knows with you lately) was a big letdown for me. Sure the sniping parts were fanfuckingtastic but than after that greatness you have to pull out your machinegun 'cause the damn enemies start attacking you in huge numbers and thats shit. I would play Max Payne 2 if I wanted a mindless 3rd person shooter. (Actually, MP2 wasn't that mindless compared to the utter shit that the "action sequences" in Sniper Elite" are.)
So... uh... no, I won't play SE online...
If you play it properly, it doesn't turn into that.
Wait for a distraction before you fire, stay hidden, do what real snipers would do.
Multiplayer rocks though.
I did all that.
I'm pretty sure that the "action sequences" are scripted and can't be avoided. e.g. First mission, after finding that prisoner duder the enemies are scripted to start running towards your location no matter what you do and you can't hide.
I did. I had to fend off one guy, then picked up the dude and ran for a good spot.
Then had to take out a couple guys blocking my path afterwards, but only had to machine gun the one guy in the whole game pretty much.
It's all about the approach.
Fine. I might give it another try...
After I finish other, cooler games I have on my itinerary...
