Fallout 2 mod Sulik often stands there in combat and refuses to attack

    Using the restoration project if it makes any difference.

    I'm trying to use Sulik as a melee fighter. He has no crippled limbs. I have noticed that he will often stand there and refuse to engage the enemy. This seems to happen most often when the enemy is more than 10 hexes away, but it also happens sometimes when he is a few hexes away from the enemy.

    Not sure if im doing anything wrong. My settings for Sulik are :

    Formation distance : Stay close to me

    Attack whomever is the closest

    I also tried setting him to "on your own" in combat controls but i dont see a difference. Sometimes he just stands there like an idiot and passes his turn without attacking anyone.

    Anyone know what settings i should be using? Or has experienced this before?

    Double check to make sure he's not overloaded?

    I tend to put characters with burst weapons on Charge mode, so they run right up to the enemy.
    I've also noticed that "stay close to me" tends to prevent npc's from attacking if they're melee only, since they have to stay within a few hexes of you, regardless of how close the enemy is.
