Today, it took me 20 minutes to find a way to open the underground prison door in Mission 1.
First, i instinctively right-clicked on it expecting the friendly menu of useful functions to pop up so that i could select a key. Since the cursors have been changed, the guy shot his weapon.
Then, i tried Left-clicking on the door, and was presented with the "locked" message.
After that, i opened my inventory, and tried to drag the keys onto the door..the keys were dropped
i could not find the keys because they were dropped right behind the door so when i moved the cursor there, it saw the door-not the keys..finally when i loaded the game and had to enter the underground prison while struggling with the ladder and killing the two raiders, i SAVED.
Then, i tried dragging the keys onto the door again. didn't work. I loaded the game, and tried double-clicking on the keys in the inventory. Didnt work..so then it came to me to move the guy up to the door THEN double-click on the keys...because i saw him do that hand thing..VoiLa! the door was "unlocked."

I tried something similar, but earlier in the game.

The dog survived.

His tribal friend was swissed. (And oddly enough nobody gave a damn.)

Another way to do it would be to drag the keys into a ready slot (where you can put guns), and then click on that, then on the door.

I had tried that earlier in the mission..i placed the key onto the left hand slot, clicked on it, the pointer did not change..it remained as the movement cursor. Clicked on it again, nope..Instead, i had Ghost pick the lock...so i didnt even bother trying it after that..maybe something was wrong...could be another bug?

oh and about that right-click-to-shoot thing, i think its GAY.
i have violent emotions toward the interface.
Maybe they should recreate the old pointer interface where right-clicking would change the 'walk' icon to the binocular icon..so ou could right-click to reveal those features.
People can argue that theres an easier way to do it, sure, but there is no harm in having more than one way to do something...besides so much fluff cherries and miracle-whip has been added to the game, why not add more?
It's like one of those cakes you get in a grocery store..the ones with too much creame..and the cream tastes skanky

It's really a shame that you can not initiate combat by simply pressing on your hand icon anymore..now you have to Right-click..
(you can hold down [ctrl] so you can attack anything anywhere.

In another epic struggle, it took me a good while to figure this out in order to anger the brahmin and to provoke it to attack.

THE BRAHMIN LOOK SWHEET!! awesome work was done on the brahmin! GIVE THAT IDEALIST A RAISE!:)..at first i wondered where the second head was, but then i saw it. Its not lively and intact like the other head..it's mutated and just hangs there growing out from the side (i found this extremely amusing, as i always had too much fun with the brahmin in the previous fallouts-i like to jab them..its the best..scalpel worked good too)..one of the few good things i saw in this demo

I'll admit the brahmin were well-detailed indeed!

Because we are too customed to fallout 1&2 interface, maybe we will have a problem with it.

When I fist played mission1, I noticed the ladder but wonder how to get down. Right click, guns blazing(Hey, why u shoot me in the back!). Then click on it, then my character then stopped in the middle of the ladder then I climbed back up until I heard from someone that u can go down in the underground. It was until I click deeper then I Finally get down there.
