Being devoid of this feature in my localization, i started to tinker with Audacity (thinking i could eventually change the voice of the english VA to match the local one by changing pitch tone and make it pronounce more nasally) and some Youtube rips, (as i don't know how to get original english voice files), i have wondered, if anyone already tried to extend Codsworths name base by compositing spoken names out of syllables, like in the attached file. I added a "Mr. Albert", "Ms. Dubrovsky", as well as Russian-accurate femininum "Ms.Dubrovskaya", as the Names Max, Natalia, Stone, Cole are already available in his database. I think, i'm bad at this, it sounds jaggy, but want to do some more. I'd like to ask for help with this, though. What do you think about the syllable method? Which tools are required to replace/assign names to Codsworth' recognized names? Where do i start?
Seems like a lot of work for such a relatively small payoff, but if you're really set on trying it you'd probably have to wait for the release of the Creation Kit.
@Brahmin Noodles :I could edit the sound files already. And why do you think that might be a lot of work?
If editing the sound files is easy, than sorry, I stand corrected. I'm not really an expert at modding, but if you have the sound files I can't imagine that it could be to difficult to add them in with the Creation Kit. However, because it hasn't been released yet, we can't be sure what is needed to implement them, but seeing as how they have a couple hundred (or something like that) names in the vannila, it shouldn't be too complex. I'm not really the person to ask on this subject though.
What about FO4Edit? I haven't found many tutorials how to do it, to be honest. Edit: someone is on it already, by the way. But the guy is stumbling on scripting right now, which requires non-available script tools. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.p...ze-an-added-name/?hl=+codsworth#entry31964180
