Anyone else playing this? I just started up two characters today, and while it's maddening waiting hours before you can do anything again I can already tell that I'll be sticking with it for awhile.

For those who don't know, Urban Dead is a browser-based MMORPG set in a city that has been overrun by zombies. You can play as either a human or a zombie, wandering around the city either trying to survive or trying to eat brains. It's pretty simple but fun, and it's turn-based as well. The main downside to the turn-based part is that you start with 50 action points and everything you do costs 1 action point (sometimes 2) - which isn't so bad, except that you only regenerate 1 action point every half hour of real time. Meaning that in practice you'll only be playing for about 15 minutes a day. Worth trying out, at least.

I got bored in 5 minutes. Must be the sensory overload induced ADD of modern society.

You were able to play for 5 minutes!?! I'm surprised your AP's didn't run out before that.

But yeah, I agree with the criticisms: it's definitely not the best game in the world and could do with some tweaking, but it's a great 'break' game while at work, especially if you can't install programs on your computer.

In case some of you zombie fans are in a mood for something a little bit more action-y I recommend the Killing Floor Mod for UT2k4. It's incredible work for a free mod, has excellent graphics and it completely pwns Doom3.

I want to play it but I can't find any servers. I'll probably give the single player campaign a try this weekend.

Ha, just when I got bored and gave up on it last week. Tell me what suburb you're in and I'll move my zombie for you to beat on if you want. Also, if you want any advice on where to go or what skills to pick first let me know.

I actually found the game to be entertaining. It's not to complex, but who cares? It's not like I had to buy it....
