useful stuff during pnp

Hey all,

Me and my Buddys are playing fallout pnp but.
I have all the German sources i need (kind of)


Me as GM : I use a Random counter creator... but... i cant make a lot out of it, just a few things, after a while, i create randoms but still need time to change them by my self, so it istn the same all the time.
my question: Is there eny other programms then a single encouter creator ?

I have downloaded a dmg calculator (were ok without) but.. it wont work.. does someone know a programm where i can easily calculate the dmg ?

We know the pnp rules pretty good so far, but it would be nice, if there is some fanmade stuff out there, what i havnt noticed yet.
specialy the burst rules!

I have checked google for so long, but only cross over this one programm for encounters and the not functioning dmg calc.
What also would be nice, if someone out there has some: already to go encounters with stats and everything. If someone is interested, i can give them a link per pm where i got the other programm and the rules/ Weapons list / Amo list etc. Most of it is in German.

We also noticed, a strange mysterium.. about the burst rule, there are so many out there. What Burst rule do u guys use?

I hope this isnt the wrong Forum to post to. But i was searching and searching and finaly I wrote this, sry for wrong gramatiks.. i am not very good at that. If someone could help me out it would be nice, it doesnt matter if its all in english, i can read and talk better then i can write :D

I've changed the rules and thanks to that I don't need to use the calculator.

You take Your Skill subtract AC of the target and other modifiers (like cover or movement), that is Your chance of hitting the target. If You are using burst roll only the tens(so yes you loose some % but is faster).
If You rolled lower than the chance to hit, You hit the target. Take the Damage Resistance of the target (which in my version is a solid number and not a percentile value) and the Armor Damage Resistance(which also is a solid number so this means You have to convert all the armors and resistances to solid numbers) of the targets armor and subtract it form every hit(like in WFRPG) everything that remains You subtract from Your HP total. Of course You calculate every bullet separatly.

I know it's not perfect but I didn't want to change the whole mechanic of the game. If You don't want to change the DR by Yourself here is the link to my equipment manual.

I do exactly the same, but I have thrown burst rules to the bin. Burst weapons do big damages in one shot, end of story... And I use solely D100 for skills/combat successes, and D10 for damages. Makes our lives easier...

oh, never heard of that.
So ur saying it like i have agil. ac of 10 +Leather Armor
makes the dc total of 25. Np so far but in case of N: 2/25
ur making up a flat nuber ?lets say... 3 ?
i kind of calculatet like this: 10 dmg incoming -2 = 8 - 25% i am not to bad at math but flat numbers rly would make things go faster, but also doesnt it absorb too much dmg?
like i see on the Tesla Armor 19 on Enegery... wow holy...and i think in ur case it encludes plasma+Laser.
and also how u handle explosiv dmg - Fire dmg.. normal ?
 
I've merged plasma, laser and fire in one. Explosive damage is normal damage.
If these numbers don't work for You make some of Your own ;)
Tesla Armor ... during the 3 campaigns I've run my players stumbled only once over a Tesla Armor, besides look at the damage of some energy weapons 19 is not so much :mrgreen:
 
I like the Idea of flat numbers, but I will stick to the DT and DR.
but nice looking at that Link u gave me, took some 4 my PnP hop dont mind, i think it even was ur Char sheet. I just cut and past the multible Weapon slots, so now we have extra Inventory storage 4 Guns, where we can put all Data at once in there.
I even made up tons of guns from diffrent Games :D
but sadly i cannot post them, i do not have a scanner :(
