Using Fallout 2 maps for virtual table top RPGs

First time out of the vault
Hello all,

I almost hesitate to post as I imagine the problem will be laughably easy for those here, but please, bear with me.

I would like to extract the maps present in Fallout 2 and save them in an image format interpretable by the VTT my gaming group uses (.jpeg is the friendliest)

It was a simple matter to do the same with games built with the Infinity Engine; however, those maps are all fantasy-oriented and lack the grit of the Fallout assets.

Would one of you kind and talented folks be willing to walk me through the process?

One solution is to use Fallout 2 HiRes patch v4.1.8 with zoom feature by Mash. Download here.
Read the post for the instructions on how to use it to take a screenshot of the whole map.
Once installed just start the game and at main menu press ctrl+R, pick a map from the list and off you go. After you are done with a screenie, just press ctrl+R again to return to main menu.

Note: On my not very powerful laptop, I need to start fallout2.exe with Hires Zoom patch in window mode otherwise it's super slow to load. After the game is launched you can stretch the window to a full screen. BTW, screenshots take up some major space 5mb a piece. You can convert to jpg afterwords.

OR if you have insanely big 4k 50' monitor you can just use regular Hires patch with the max resolution to fit the whole map into the screenshot:wiggle:

Wow, that's exactly what I was looking for. I'll admit, I was HOPING the maps were stored somewhere as images, but this will work very nicely.

Thank you very much.
