Ok. I've seen a bunch of posts about this, so poll what you think. Who should be the enemy in (Or if) Fallout 3?

Humans: They destroyed the earth anyway.

Mutants: Original enemy, bring them back.

Ghouls: It could happen!

Robots: As taken from a below post.

Canada: They are the root of all evil ( J/K )

Aliens...

This may seem silly but what about the aliens from FO2??? Mutants and humans have been done already ...although humans, being the sad, sick species that we are, always make for a good plot and storyline.

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON May-29-00 AT 01:17PM (GMT)[p]Please, no aliens. When I first saw Aliens in F2 I thought "What the Fuck is this ?!".

It's too damn unrealistic.

I'll just stick to humans, but no more Frank Horrigans. That part didn't make sense too.

Mmmmm...humans.........

Yeah the aliens were kind of weird amongst the retro techno future that is Fallout...

If it's humans you want ...what about the Yakuza gang ??? They weren't really fleshed out in FO2 ..they were just annoying gang memebers that didnt make any sense ...Ideas??

Yeah, i like that realistic part...

Deathclaws

Why not flesh out the story of deathclaws against the world, of course it'll turn out that the canadians created them...

ps:I think the aliens were taken from the movie "alien"

RE: Deathclaws

TK go play the first FO you will know where Deathclaws came from then and im going to cast my vote for canida as the bad people in FO3 the only thing better then that would be mex. but theres no reason for mex. to be a part of the story line

RE: Aliens...

Anyone positive they were aliens? They could've been those FEV Monkeys that escaped. They then breeded and ran amock. As far as I know their really wasn't any history behind the Wanimingos. I also don't remember any history as to the origins of the Death Claw either? I just assumed they were some mutant speices.

RE: Aliens...

They sure looked like aliens...all purple with tentacles and their heads looked aliens from the movie with the same name...

RE: Aliens...

well i have seen alien, aliens, alien3 & alien ressurection heaps of times & the aliens from fallout 2 look, sound etc. nothing like them...

I'm 95% sure they were aliens. Maybe just not from the movie, Alien.

Deathclaws

You wanna know where they're from? Or from what Species the originated? Got to Vault 13 in Fo2 and talk to the doctor, Goris and some of the humans. As for the Aliens, What the hell are those things. Do they have anything to do with the crashed UFO in Fo1 (Never encountered it myself, haven't seen any screenshots so I'm not even sure it exists)?

RE: Deathclaws

Fallout 1 also tells you where the Deathclaws came from ...you can find the info on a holodisk located deep inside the Glow...

Don't give me that bullshit. They were just cats, REALLY BIG cats, right?

RE: Deathclaws

The disk talks about the various experiments carried out with FEV and animals. In one section it states "two pairs of raccoons escaped and were never seen to this day..." or something close to it. Now it might have been raccoons or monkeys ..but the holodisk also mentions that all primate subjects were destroyed.

RE: Deathclaws

What? That moron in V13 said they were some kind of mutated lizards, the bastard. I'll go back and kill him right now, for Revenge... AND my personal satisfaction.

RE: Deathclaws

Well the COULD be lizards...after all they lay eggs ...hardly a characteristic of any mammalian creature ( except the duck billed platypus ..although I wonder if that animal wasn't dipped into some FEV....)
