Why is Goris so small?

A serious question.

Is he just a young deathclaw? Or is his particular mutation (Albino, weird FEV) the cause?

He's that size so he can function like all the other companions and fit through doors.
But he could also just be very young, although I don't remember him saying anything in particular about it.

He has ereptile dysfunction.

(-_-)

I like you.

Good point, walking through doors.

He's smaller than Marcus though! Last time I checked, normal deathclaws aren't much bigger than a supermutant.

IIRC, he says something about 'only been here a few months'.

Maybe that's how old he is?

Beat me to it

That as well as not block your path in every corridor narrower than 3 grids.. :D
He can be pushed around though, it'd be hilarious to push a huge Deathclaw around

IIRC, don't all enemies only take up one 'hex'?

Even deathclaws do, unless I am mistaken.

dunno the exact measurements of each foe, but yeah, mooost of them take up just 1, but deathclaws are at least 2 hexes wide, on several occasions I expected to be able to squeeze past one, in order to get a better shot or something, but couldn't

Huh, two hexes wide?

I'll have to check that out next time I fight one.

Still though.

Goris looks so silly next to Marcus! XD

The reality is the designers needed a variation with the deathclaw critter artwork, so Goris could standout as unique NPC. The whole talking deathclaw thing is ridiculous, the designers must have been stoned that day. :hatersgonnahate:

By that time, I imagine Goris would be pretty old so his size there would be larger...

Goris's small size is most likely done for technical purposes.

Agreed.

Technical reasons most likely.

I don't think he's as old as, say, Gruthar or whatever though.

Because Goris is not a Deathclaw. He is an alien from the city under Mojave, so he ropes himself to not be exposed to the truth.

THIS IS THE TRUTH.

He might have been intended to passe him for an human under his robe, and make the reveal when he undress more shocking. Or he is just simply young.

THAT MAKES A LOT OF SENSE!

That might be why he's so eager to 'pretend' to be a human/mutant, instead of a deathclaw, his smaller size makes it possible.
