General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Get it on sale, 60 bucks is a tad overpriced in my opinion.

I got it a little bit after release and really enjoyed it.
Okay, I will put it on my wish list and wait for it to go on sale and then buy it.

Regarding Live A Live, glad to hear it. What has been your favorite storyline so far?
Mine is the near future story as I loved all the Japanese anime tropes

It was actually the far future chapter. I'm a fan of Alien and Aliens, so it was pretty cool that the whole chapter was an homage to the first movie (mixed with 2001 Space Oddysey with a rouge AI). Plus it was nice to have a chapter that does something different than the other chapters, keeps things fresh.

Cube was definitely in my party in the final chapter, it's a pretty damn busted character.

That was also an interesting story and I enjoyed it a lot going the first time through it. Indeed a very good mix of both Alien and 2001.

Its been a while since I played Live A Live so I don't recall if Cube was overpowered or not.

The Cowboy chapter was also very different compared to the other campaigns.

It's a tanky character with high damage and it can also heal. My party was the cowboy, the ninja and cube, made short work of the final chapter.

Beat the main story of Dragon Quest 3 remake. It's the Dragon Quest shit i love, so obviously had a lot of fun. Plenty of story segments that weren't in the original, gives the story and characters more weight.

Now to go for the postgame stuff, apparently there's a bunch of shit to do.

Completed Elden Ring, 100% blind playthrough, it took me 78 hours.

Oh damn, Dragon Quest. I have forgotten about those. The first one for NES is the first RPG I've ever played I think.
Getting a bundle remake with 2 that comes out this October, definitely getting that. I think old NES games are some of the best examples for modern remakes, specially if they are in a long running series, just to see how it is with all the improvements of the sequels.

The remake of the first one is the one i'm most interested about, specially since they have shown that fights are no longer just one on ones.

I honestly don't remember much of that game except for some vague images. I was maybe 10 or 12 when I played it. I might check it out though, but with a backlog of around 50 titles, that doesn't seem too likely for the time being.
