I will pay good money to anyone nuking all the voices save for some "celebrity" voices such as dad.

that would help my immersion, that, and a talented team of writers/shakespeare-monkeys to re-write 99% of the dialogues so that it FITS THE FUCKING SETTING.

Thanks bethesda, you ruined a potentially good game with the same uninspired bullshit you did in oblivion, i hope you get radiation poisoning

(edit: aids is not a fallout-canon disease)

I'm referring not to sales but to the fact that games are closely censored today. Meaning a few complaints about the game are rather unfair, knowing that certain aspects weren't added due to the nature of the media.

And the "spirit" still looking for it... :(

Yes, time changed and censorshit obviously became more restricted. That's why I said it's pointless :)

I've heared that Beth had some criticism from the censor basterds, because in Oblivion you have naked female models without nipples.
I think this whole bullshit started after when Janet Jackson's breast was shown on TV.

You have to "believe" they are there :P

Good luck. I started forcing myself to continue the game trying to find it...

I think they have, although it’s easier to look back at what another company did and try to keep in line with that, rather than totally setting the trend like Black Isle did back in the late 90s. I bought fallout 1 and 2 back then (I worked at Software Etc back then, and liked the descriptions on the box, and was looking for another xcom-like game, I found something even better!)

I do think some things are rough around the edges, like the games reaction to the player going nuts and doing crazy stuff, black isle in my opinion, was better at anticipating things like that, and made games around them. But I feel satisfied with Fallout 3 (I just finished) although the endings
[spoiler:bb2b0fc468] in my opinion are a massive fail, why didnt they just do a slide per quest/town or something, very very overhyped and under delivered in that respect[/spoiler:bb2b0fc468].

Being a fan of X-Com, Shadowrun, and Fallout, I’m used to getting shit on. At least now Fallout continues on in some form, that imo isn’t a total abomination. I look forward to DLC, Expansions, Sequels, and I hope, user mods after a official sdk comes out.

    I know, I know.
There's Great Depression 2.0 and many other serious problems that don't really seem to matter, but if a video game goes in portraying things then there's "problem".

    It's a world with ****** priorities.

Considering what happened to BI and Interplay, and many other like 80s/90s companies like them coupled with today's stupid messed up "sensitivities"/ censorship / lack of freedom and demand for big ROI, then no it's not pointless.

In article I've just read about F3, it turns out that in the UK F3 sold more in a week then all other Fallout games combines (F1+F2+FT+BoS) and PC sales of F3 accounted for (just) 17% of total sales.

    Please !

And Mafia families or Monthy Python or TARDIS encounters (their dialogs/quests/items/references included) would fit the THE FUCKING SETTING ?!

And how about that Holy hand grenade and the fact that you could buy the alien blaster ?!

And WTH where centaurs and aliens doing in an oil tanker ?!

Yay, let's sing the old "But, but... the originals had flaws, too!!!" song!
That is the single most stupid way of arguing there is. And it's obviously everything you manage to come up with.

DOF_power, you've been told not to double post, yet you are double and triple posting all over the place. Maybe a strike will help with the netiquette.

I thought it did... it may have been a different spirit but I felt the world of DC was convincing at times, in its own way.

There are a lot worse out there, like many other sandbox games. Fable 2 even, for example, I felt was less convicning than Fallout 3...

i dont feel the vibes man, like the love and care and respect was put into this game. it feels too sterile and 'clinical' sorry, i know i can't speak for anyone but myself so thats what im doing.
