I would like to see a DLC where you can go to Vault 13 and all the other places in Fallout 1&2. Maybe have a side story explaing why Super mutants are yellow and hostile down in DC. Have one where you have to either help NCR or BoS in some fight between the two.
Oh my, yes, a Night of the Raven style addon would be the best thing since... well, since New Vegas was released
I would love to see them bring back a few of the iconic locations from Fallout or Fallout 2. It's probably a hell of a lot of work, but if they made it similar to Point Lookout, or heck, just put it in on the existing world map, it would be pretty great. Vault 13, Vault 15, Shady Sands/NCR and Vault City are all on my short list of cool places to visit.
I would like to see them do something with some of the unanswered questions in game: The brainbot in Helios 1 the other courier
I wouldn't mind seeing something like the continued evolution of the plants in Vault 22, maybe even have a scenario like Fallout Tactics 2.
I definitely agree with the leveling. I've played about 30 hours and am almost that same level. Some of the tougher enemies give out 50 XP per kill, but are also fairly easy to deal with once you have good weapons, and clearing out a dungeon or two can mean a level-up. I definitely don't feel as if I'm leveling much slower. I would really prefer if combat gave less experience than quests, but I guess mods will see to fixing that.
It's called AddIn and yes, that's exactly what I want for New Vegas. @the posts above: I hope they will *not* and *never* go to any locations from Fallout 1 and 2. The locations can only become reimaginations and I have absolutly no doubts that I will hate it, regardless of what developer is working on it.
Totally agreed on both things. The Gothic 2 AddIn was great and I seriously don't want to see the Hub or something like that in a New Vegas DLC. Especially since I pretty much never got the good ending for the hub
Oh please no locations from FO1/2... As much as I like FO:NV, I don't want to see towns/cities that I love in this Gamebryo Engine. I want to keep my imagination alive.
I think a good DLC would be one that revolves round a tribal group trying to gain entry into New Vegas. I think they could do a lot with this as it could be humorous on the options they have to get in (some monty python humour comes to mind, like always). Anyway, could be fun, please tell me i'm right, or i'll never dream of seeing tribals ever again.
Put a car in the existing map. Make the existing map one (huge) circle on a "world map". Create 8-10 locations on this world map, and make it possible to travel between them with said car. These places do not have to be huge, but it would be nice if they were thoroughly made in a way that would make them stand out a bit more than most places in the existing game world does. Lastly, implement random encounters when traveling the world map. Not going to happen of cource. But i would enjoy it.
There is a mod being developped by two guys who did some good Fallouty FO3 mods with exactly what you described in your post. http://www.ravenmodding.terminal47.net/?page_id=35 Unfortuntely it will get released in german first, but there might be a translation.
Looks very good! Sadly I do not use my money on upgrading my computer often enough to play these games (or pretty much any game - my computer is a students tool more then anything else...) so I have to play this on my PS3. So no mods for me If it was made official DLC though! But like I said, I'm not keeping my hopes up on this one.
UGH the germans/ruskies always make the best mods and i cant play them. Gladly FNV is a big game so someone will probably translate to english one day.
Lexx, I did not mean "breaking the game", I just wanted to build out some skills, not necessarily become a master of all. I think if I would solve it in an official way I would have a larger range of levels (50 or 60) but that the experience you get for defeating enemies, performing skill actions, or completing quests lowers as you progress in advancement. Its possible to reach higher levels, just really really hard as experience becomes lower with each level you reach.
Well, with my second character, I am now at level 21 and have maxed out 4 skills. Guns, repair, science and speech. Now I have still 9 levels in front of me, which means, I could max out at least one or two other skill, which would cover more than all main areas of my interest. So if there would be +10 possible levels, it would be needed to rework the skill system again. Maybe highering all skillcaps to 150 instead of 100 or whatever... but something *has* to be done, else a jack of all trades character is not to avoid.
I understand. Well again, make it very hard to reach higher levels as the experience bars are higher than what you can reach with all quests together.
