Just got banned of the nexus discord for saying ' Beth shills , Bethsda could ask you suck someone off and you would'. Its true though isn't it. Profiteer of moders absolute great. How in the fuck could anyone defend this. I literally don't know.

Easy. When faced with common sense (i.e "You buy credits with real money to purchase mods"), logic and foresight from others, do this:

Nexus have some great people, like Jokerine, dubiousintent and pixelhate, but I've never felt comfortable posting there. It seems that guys banish for anything.

    sorry to know about this.

I'll play devil's advocate and say that the new format might surprise us. The problem with the Steam workshop fiasco was that any fuck boy could post a paid mod and trick people into 'pay what you want' schemes for completely shit, unsupported content.

Creator's club sounds like accountability for modder's. You can't just release hot, steaming garbage onto the platform and get away with it.

The only thing that's brow raising is Bethesda trying to hold modders accountable. They (Bethesda) have been releasing buggy garbage for years now - all of which are never really patched to the extent of mods like Arthmoor's bug fixing compilation.

This all feels like typical cart before the horse Bethesda logic. I'll hold my breath for the format - but given my complete lack of faith in any future Bethesda products, I can't say I'll be bothered by a system I won't have to buy into to begin with.

I don't hate the system straight up it could be useful. However the mods shown in the video are all mods you could get for free. Also worrying that Bethesda can profiteer from this. Whats more amazing is they thing they can profiteer of a 6 year old game via modders. Its absolutely trash and the recipetion to the it has been poor. Jst check the youtube video.

The more I compare Bethesda to a local, neighborhood drug dealer the more similarities I find.

They've let the console community sample free mods and hooked them onto the idea. I think it's safe to hedge your bets on the console community being the top source of revenue for creator club.

Great analogy. Really. I see it for myself as Bethesda is (Britney Spears/Coke/Red Sox). Something I don't give a shit about. All those things have their fans. I don't care about the fans. Obsidian is like the weird/cool neighbour. BGS and it's fans are a group that I just don't click with. They can have there dumbed down games, and lame arguments. Would I care if someone went off about the Red Sox? Couldn't give a shit. Same rules applied to Beth.

As many modders does use moding as their "knock the door" for a job in the gaming industry, I wonder in the future job interview:

    Manager: Any previous work?
rockitten: This is my Fallout mod on NEXUS, it was the most popular mod on 2017.
Manager: So why you put it on NEXUS rather than Bethesda Creator's club?
    rockitten: What's the matter?
Manager: So you don't support paid mod? You don't support micro-transaction ?
rockitten: Who would paid $10 for a useless horse armor mod?
Manager: Thank you very much. You can go now.

The real danger here is if the system actually works. It won't take long before it becomes a 'stadard'.

I really hate to see where modding is going these days ...

By the way Bethesda do it, I wonder it will works.

If they are hiring people to make mods, that's fine. But if they are enlisting "hobbyist" modders to make paid mods, those conditions on their contracts would more likely pissed those modders off. What's the cut modders would recieve? Who's responsible to the after-sale support of mods? For how long?

100% They are not being transparent at all. I don't suspect they ever will be. Who knows what the modder will get? I'm sure 80% of the $$ will go to Beth and 99% of the work will be on the modder, and Bethesda will own it, unless it becomes an issue. I hope Bethesda is willing to pay the people that made 3ds max, blender, nifskope, audacity, photoshop and all the other unlicensed tools they don't provide. I'm not a lawyer, but something about that seems illegal.

I called it, PAID MODS ARE HERE. Honestly not surprised and quite happy that they did this . Even the biggest bethesda fanboys won't be happy when they have to pay for mods, which are free from Nexus and you can actually support a good modder, which is better than this rotten company.

But the number of dislikes is just delicious all the negative comments, it is a balm for my soul! Damn, I wonder how else are they going to screw themselves?

However, I am afraid it is still not enough. We need something even bigger to make dumb masses see how disgusting bethesda is.

So today is just the PC gaming show which it's usually pretty boring and mostly graphics cards shilling and Ubisoft.
Tomorrow is Sony and Nintendo, looking forward to those.

Well "PC" is just the plataform. There isn't a "PC" company producing first party gamesfor it, so a PC gaming show is kinda dumb. The closest it has is Valve with steam, but even then that's just a store front.

One of biggest problems will the whole things is copyright/IP infringements. If one of the payed mods adds a per say hardcore mode or something like that. If a modder makes excatly the same thing for free what will happen then. Will bethesda ban that modder ? Will that modder get sued. Why would people pay for the one that bethsda has said they have to buy? So far the mods displayed as-well have been free mods. Thye know what they are doing and they know they will screw people
