Every time I see a new killap post I go like this  , 1 minute later like this :freak: , and finaly then I realise that it is not out yet, I go like this :wall: .

Sorry if this has been answered, or is the wrong place to ask.

But will the new RP have the latest version of Sfall included?

I guess it will have newest version of sfall that would only make sense but Killap will have to reply on that. @Killap I did not mean to insult you or underestimate(not sure if this is the term) your work but I just expected the list to contain some more items (at least the list i read on page 173 or whatever). I understand some of these changes are massive and was a lot of hard work and I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

Maybe you forgot to add to that list changelog from RP 1.1 and 1.2?

I know what Killap implemented so far. Last time I replayed Fallout 2 I was using Killap's Restoration Project 1.2.

Anyways.... Everyone just ignore that post and anticipate new release! Except for Killap you just ignore my earlier posts and release new version

Yes. Whenever I release a new update to my work it always includes the latest version of any stuff that comes bundled with it. In addition, elements of RP 2.0 require the latest series of sfall updates.

No offense taken. Keep in mind that the list is written in very broad terms. There wasn't much new content to add, besides the shi sub, so much work went into refining the content already added to the RP. This is why the term "overhaul" was used in several places. Hundreds of hours went into several of those bullet points.

Well, easter is coming, and I have a 5 day-long weekend starting this Wednesday! So if RP 2.0 is getting released some time soon, I'll enjoy these days!

Just curious, how was the character sprite selection implemented? If you managed to get an additional menu, I'm impressed modding could go that far.

Ty

Thank you very much for answering. What finally pushed me into registering for the site was to ask that question.

Excited about everything in the new version, but most excited about Kaga redone. Although perhaps not-so-well implemented the first go-round, I was entranced anyway. The idea was there, and it was striking.

Looking forward to seeing the implementation in 2.0.

Misteryo

I installed the Restoration Project and whenever I click to run Fallout 2 it says "Fallout is running in compatibility mode" and makes me click OK and doesn't run Fallout 2. It was not running in compatibility mode so I don't know what to do.

You will have to uncheck everything in the compatibiliy tab, even running as administrator.
No you don't. Unless the sfall version is a couple of years out of date. (Umm, actually, the sfall contained in the RP 1.2 probably is...) all it checks for is the option to emulate an old version of windows, and the options to switch the desktop to 256 colours or 640x480 resolution.

The Sfall version in RP1.2 doesn't support the *skip compatibility check* option. I don't know how old it is, but i don't think that it has been updated since 2008. At least i had to do what i wrote under windows 7 to get it working.

he was right I unchecked everything and it works fine, wow I'm dumb.
Your not dumb, don't put yourself down regardless of what I've read on other websites, NMA isn't as venomously full of hate as they say it is.

Any news on how close we are to a release now?

They say it's full of hate? I haven't been active in a while when did that rumor start?
