I wasn't being sarcastic, I like the little palm tree you added to it, actually you should go to my deviant art and use the full res version.

    The remake is done!
    In glorious 720 hd!

The only thing I was not able to fix is the water, only cause I could not get Realflow plugin to install correctly, but I can live with it.

Should I post this in fanart? :)

I like the new one. I noticed a couple of things after watching it a second time.

First of all, maybe you should stay on the radio for a while longer. Most FO game intros have while of fixing on the radio/tv/whatever, getting you accustomed to the "normalcy" of the situation before panning out to show the devastation.

Second, the music cuts off way too soon. It should still be audible, although very soft, for a while later IMO.

Me and my friend were talking about possible locations in future fallout games and the one he wanted to see the most was Florida, and he talked about how fountain of dreams was meant to be the sequel to Wasteland and since Wasteland was Fallouts predecessor, it would be cool if they paid homage by making it in Florida.
Personally I would like to see it take place in New Orleans or Dallas (and just ignore that god awful mess that was Brotherhood of Steel). I might post my ideas about a New Orleans Fallout in a future thread.

the lighting should be a lot darker because the sunny day doesn't really match the dark toned music at the end, but apart from that its pretty good! i like the half buried miami beach sign at the end of the camera zoom out

Thank you all for the nice comments. I've been really busy lately so I have not been able to post much.
I am still thinking about planning this out to be an actual mod in the future, of course I won't be able to do it alone.
I have no experience with the geck editor what so over x.x

    Bring in the DiLido Hotel

    Dear Migeto,

Don't forget to include the DiLido Hotel. People climb up on it and disable the first "i". Could be funny.

I think you mean the second 'i'. Otherwise its DLido hotel. Good idea for a joke though.

Great Trailer! I have 3 problems: spend a little longer zoomed in on the radio (not much, maybe 10 seconds). Have it fade out slowly, stop after the school bus, and have the main theme come in normally. Add a skyline (doesn't have to be anything specific, a 2D image of ruined buildings should be enough). Other than that, great work! I would help with the mod, but I have no experience in the GECK either :P.

EDIT: Talk about thread necromancy! Sorry 'bout that.

Also, there's a certain plastic feel that comes with the specularity of some objects that should not be there, like the umbrella and the radio.

    more prop ideas:

-a bottle with a message in it
    -a dead whale
-take some pieces out of the sunbathing skeleton
-beat the umbrella up a little
    -lifeguard tower
    -icecream stand

The ground texture you are using feels more like cracked soil, not sand.

Need better lighting and some GI to spice it up.

I think you have a nice rough draft there and it would make a great portfolio piece if you work on it more.
