My youtube let's play TFTD

You're way too cautious. And that makes for pretty boring vids, I'm afraid. And that hesitation of yours all the time... nah, man. It makes me nostalgic for X-Com, but that's all.

You're right. I know I am :/

I just hate seeing my men get killed...

Have you seen Kikoskia's TFTD series? He's an entertainer, where I'm not. His men don't often live long, but it's sure fun to watch.

I admit, when I was recording the terror mission, and it took me two hours, I was thinking "this has got to be painful to watch."

So... I'm not sure whether to hurry myself up for the sake of more interesting vids, or just accept that I'm probably not the right man for the job, and finish my game away from the camera ;)

It's still cool that you did what you did, man.
Maybe you should just make a vid with the highlights or something?

Like... like a montage!

Yeah I might just do that.

Biggest problem is the amount of disk space it takes to record the raw video and audio prior to encoding.

I wonder if I can record encoded instead of recording raw. But that might take more CPU power than my oldschool Athlon can provide...

I just finishing watching the third video. I laughed when you kept saying "Excellent". Like an evil overlord. If you were clasping your hands together.

I remember now the first time I played this game a few years ago. I tried the hero approach and got all my men slaughtered. Like right now.

Awesome!
What difficulty are you playing at?
I just finished X-Com UFO Defense(on beginner), so i might be getting me TFTD later.

It's on the 2nd easiest ;) "Experienced" level.

All the aliens get their base stats, but there are fewer of them.

With TFTD, this is a good thing, otherwise on the two-part missions you end up against 30-40 aliens, which would be almost impossible without using lots of saving and loading ;)

TFTD on 2nd easiest is about as hard as Xcom 1 on hardest... Loberstermen are pure nightmare fuel :D
