Patches for Fallout 2

    i noticed the den bug (i found that when you arrive the den by the woprld map the game will crash if you try to enter from the east side, also trying to get to the east side by the west side makes the game crash)
    by the way its usefull for beta testing the walk-like-in-a-car-by-foot thingie




    what about adding also a way to found the duntons responsable of the boogey man quest?

    imho scorpions limbs should be found into the dunton's shop (perhaps behind the closed door, now anyway they are still where they were) and by finding them you could tell torr (wich should respawn in klamath after you helped him with the scorpions) the truth


    also can you please remove that 15 karma bonus when you finish the temple of trials? tried to steal, fasttalk and combat the final test but you always end up with a bonus to karma!
    i just want to get out of that temple i am not doing them for the others

    also please remove the karma of bob's quest
    he gives me money and that s why i do the job not because i am a do-gooder

    also please i can NEVER EVER get to help the duntons when you go help torr, i mean they are here watching the scene and if you talk with them they say: "so are you here for the job or what ?"
    "yeah, i'm interested", "get the hell out of here"..

    damn i think they should give you a quest to kill torr and let them steal the moo moos
    or perhaps a way to distratcting him if yoiu have at least a 55 speech or such like telling that a huge army of bugmens is coming making him flee and leaving the brahmin to the duntons

    anyway please make that if you kill torr you are not velified in klamath if you make this quest

    locutus another bad bug i found:
    i noticed that while my char had a 110 unarmed skill he only had the "strong punch" attack
    i remember in older fallout versions to have at this rating other moves like hammer punch, jab and so on
    anyawy i downloaded the falche and tried to test with a 200 skill points char,
    same thing i only had strong punch

    please do something ! unarmed is soo cool :P

    Maybe your strengh stat is too low...

    To Locutus:

    Have you found that are there any endings for Klamath. If not could that be hard to implent?. Endings would be like this: If you kill the rat god, you get good ending for Klamath and if not, the rats takes over the whole Klamath.

    The quest "Find some endorphin blockers to make a cure for Jet" that you receive from myron dosen't cross out never. Even talking to Dr Troy in Vault City and helping him to make cure for jet don't cross this quest out. Can you do so that this quest crosses out when you make cure for jet with Dr Troy?

    If you are female charecter and you make sweet love with T-Ray in New Reno a few times, he will blow up. This very often causes game to crash because exploding peoples crashes game very often (engine bug). Could this be fixed by removing exloding script from T-Ray?

    To TonyM19: I need only to remove some useless things from the patch, fix the maps and test it. That's all.

    To Skynet: About the endorphin blockers - I'll see.
    About Klamath's ending - not a chance. Making a new ending would require two major things: two pics of Klamath and Ron Perlman.

    anyway tried to set 10 str 200 unarmed
    i still have onluy strong punch/kick

    i remember having jab, hip kick and other cool moves back in the official patch

    i think it s a bug of the new patch

    also where is the looser guy in the hole (always in the den east side) the one saying: Shhh! i am scooping for nice chicks!
    i can t find him no more i just see another bald man like the bartender with gives me no dialogue menu

    The man sometimes goes off screen. It happened to me several times. Maybe it's something with the map like the Den's west side? I'll look into this.

    i got an idea on how to put the slaver guild more fun
    the bad thing is that actually you can just do a limited number of slave runs

    would you be unable to set a new caravan like thinghie?

    here's what i have in mind:

    after you ve done all the quests of the slavers guild (the basic slave rides) you become a veteran slaver (ok veteran sucks but i didn t think at anything better) and you can go organizing your slave run talking with the slaver's guild greeter (the one that opens up teh talk menu the first time you enter the guild)

    in a few worlds you should script this just like a new caravan route (with a possibility of encounters) the only difference is that the starting point and the destination of the journey are the same (from the salver's guild to the slaver's guild)
    with you don t travel caravan guards but slavers (like the one with the cattleprod that helps you in the official slave runs)

    now i don t know how caravan works, if the caravan effectively run trough the worlddmap and has the possibility to found the normal encounters or (like i think it is) there s a table with a proabbility of the encounters that caravan can meet

    if it s the first way you could do that simply creating a new type of encounter with tribals, armed one and the ones who will not fight (thte ones that the guys with cattleprod will get to metzger) and put them somewhere on the world map where you ll put the route
    of the "caravan"

    if it s the second way you simply have to make new special encounters and set the probablity,

    lool you could make a lot of encounters even with the rangers !!!

    you are ambushed by a group of rangers! defend yourself!

    Can you make inns usefull?
    Like get something like 10 extra HP over your normal HP?
    Like 60/50 HP.

    But isn't Karma a sort of reputation-meter? If so, passing the tests of the Temple and getting the right to wear Vault Dweller's suit would be seen as a positive thing by Arroyans. The bonus gives the PC "only" 15 karma points because Arroyo has too few contacts with the outside world for the announcement of the Advent of the Chosen One to spread. If you want to play the role of a Dark Chosen One, don't worry: there are many nefarious things to do, even in Arroyo. But I guess you are well aware of this :D

    Well, and what about caravans carrying slaves instead of goods? It would be more "realistic" than walking in the wastes, making a "random search" for villages and such. I think that Slavers, before organizing a slave run, know exactly where they are going to go (reports, well-paid information, etc.). And if you consider that Vault City and New Reno are two Slavers Guild's "customers"... there they are the caravan's destinations!

    Heyz it seems i found some more problems with patch 1.04

    The ghouls in the reactor in gecko are atacking me again..

    EDIT :
    o its just one ghoul that is atacking me. He is easly avoided. the ghoul is in next chamber where you can get the yellow key pass


    all Desks that are locket can just be stolen empty, I dunno if this suposed to be fixed in some other patch

    At the mayor's place in modoc his selves arnt protected anymore and can be robbed empty without any problem. I know if i did this in 1.02 (and i think in 1.03 aswell) he told you to stay away from it

    well I would like to try it out aswell. But I rather have a patch that doesnt contain any bugs in it, So take your time locutus. Altough the patch 1.04 isnt perfect I really enjoy it. It was good to see Ian again :)

    Oh I was wondering locutus. Did you put kaga in patch 1.04 or did you drop the idea of putting him back ? I think it would kick arse to have a rival.

    Hey, encounterd another bug here

    I got a unable to load error in NCR (bazaar only) you would probly know that already, but I got another one. Pretty funny one....( atleast I thought so )

    I killed lenny in the boxing match and got the ''get the docs paper quest'' from mark. Also I bought the vault 13 info from him. So when I went to the "vault 13" and made my return to the NCR, when i arived at te bazaar I saw that one big fellow was takeing my spot at the bar.... LENNY WAS BACK

    I didn't put Kaga in. There are some bugs in his script files from what I know.

    About NCR: Yep, that's the same bug as with the Den. If you can, try the other NCR maps.
