Nice, I'm surprised I didn't see this before. It's a good video and I'm kicking in.

Any insight on why this has not received the press that Wasteland 2 has?

It only just went up, it'll get more coverage soon, especially since the funding is going well.

    I might chip in later.

Wonder what Stackpole's involvement will be, since he's working on Wasteland 2. "Incorporate the skills" is a little vague, maybe they're just using some of the writing he did at an earlier stage.

I assumed it had been running for a week or so based on the amount of days remaining, guess not. Press is picking up and IGN just tweeted about it. They are also part of the kick it forward campaign.

Yep, it is up for only a few hours and made quite some cash since then. Though, I wonder if the $400k would be enough for the game, especially as Fargo said that 1 million dollar is already the absolute minimum if you want to make a good (old school) rpg.

I was looking for this thread, not sure to find it.
Damn i like even more shadowrun (the P&P RPG ans SNES games) than Fallout.
And a 2050 reboot even better.
A bit sad about this though :
According to the Mayan Calendar (and lots of tabloids), the world will end on December 12, 2012. It’s part a 5,200 year cycle of death and rebirth that, in Shadowrun, actually charts the ebb and flow of magic from the Earth. So, on 12/12/12 magic will return, end this world, and wreak holy havoc while starting the next.
yea 400 is not a lot, i think is mean crappy graphic but i'm ok with that.

Ah, that explains a lot. I thought because it's "only" 24 days left it was running 7 days already.

I miss a clear date on those pages when it did start. I'm always looking into the comments section for the oldest comment to know when it started.

Holy shit! Now I am getting a little suspicious. This is way too much good news. How can I afford to support Wasteland 2 AND Shadowrun! My loyalties are being tested severely. I am such a broke bastard right now too.

The shadowrun setting is simply awesome, my favorite one.
Now let's hope the gameplay will be ok.

I'd never preordered games before, but now it seems thanks to Kickstarter, it's all I'm doing. Sheesh, my wallet's taking a beating, but I guess it's a long term investment so I buy fewer games later.

I never played the SNES game but I've always wanted to try shadowrun.

Genesis Shadowrun is one of my favorite games of all time. It's like a 16 bit Fallout. These people did not make that game though, from what I understand.

Already 300k dollar. This game is pretty much funded. Let's see how high it will go in the remaining 23 days.

I guess it will get rather easily the 1 Million considering how popular shadowrun once was. And actually still is, just that there have not been any real good games out for it in the last years. The only good game I remember was the SNES version.

If they take some inspirations by the SNES version this can only be a good thing.

Shadowrun is a very complex P&P RPG first.
The SNES games was excellent for his time even if the P&P rules were not implemented at all.
I don't think the P&P rules are going to be strictly implemented in shadowrun Return even if it's TB (not that it will disturb me at all)
They are complicated, you have a tons of them and the budget is too small.
I really dislike the "DLC 0" reward. I blame Brian Fargo for it, now it could become a common feature for any RPG and the first step towards the wrong "way".

I think that is more of a Brian Fargo minimum.
