Definitely rent it.

I returned the game to the store, bitterly disappointed. You can probably find tidbits about my experiences installing, starting, twiddling thumbs and even playing The Fall through the search function. It's been a while.

Anyway, please take a good look at it first.

I don't think it's all that bad, really.

I've seen better, but also far worse. I found RTwP to be surprisingly entertaining.
The scripting is often annoying though, some design decisions are plain weird and the amount of bugs is ridiculous. At least I didn't buy the first release, so my game was heavily patched. It wasn't really awful anymore.
