i can't believe how weak their DLC lineup is.

a construction DLC with minimal stuff added
another construction DLC with minimal stuff added
the boring slog that was far harbor
a thinly veiled construction DLC with a stupid questline
    yet another construction DLC
    nuka cola 6 flags

this is so tame, even fo3 had more exciting DLCs.. which isn't really saying much

Let the player build closed corridors in an engine which has never, never been able to deal with navmeshes, even with the vanilla structures... What's the worst that could happen ? That's exactly what kills the best mods. The navmesh is extremely complicated and unstable, and it's very hard to code a NPC to move where he is supposed to go.

Realistically, Bethesda cannot fix this problem. Impossible, even for the vanilla paths (remember kids, in Skyrim, Giants and mammoths are like Dune's sandworms : just get to a little rock, and you'll be fine. They can't follow you there.) the only thing they can do is to limit the movements of the IA, and force it to walk right in the middle of a corridor. Which means that it would make combats buggy as hell, if there are several enemies.
Bethesda created a problem they have no way of resolving, again. There's a reason why raiders spawn inside your city walls : if they had to find an entrance, the game would probably crash.

Sigh... I'm also pessimistic about these "experiments". What kind of experiments are they going to be ? Make a lot of sport ? Fight deathclaws, again ? How to collect results ? What if they refused ? What if they left, like their overseer ? And the most evident question :

Mothership Zeta had better writing and was more fun than the entire Fallout 4 game. And yes, I'm being serious. That's how much they've ruined Fallout 4.

Christ, I'm gonna be frank with you, Vault-tec Workshop sucks. I try to be optimist, but Jesus this is just embarrassingly bad, it's almost like satire.

Still hoping for the best in Nuka-Cola World.

What's wrong now? Previous WWs were just throw more items from the base game plus some extras that were cut from this base game. This one has it's questline! And you can F:Shelter inside FO4! Fantastic experience. :smug:

You really needed three mod-size DLCs to understand this?

Nope. I'm just trying to entertain myself after playing these atrocities of FO4's DLCs. It's really not that good.

    "Settlements are optional"

Even if that were true you've done gone and focused every DLC on settlements.

Far Harbor is still the better Fallout 4 DLC by far, and I suppose Vault Tec Workshop is better than Wasteland Workshop, because it does try a little bit to provide some form of story-based entertainment.

I suppose you're right, but they're both still piles of poop.

"Maybe they could release a workshop that would let me build a DLC worth a damn."

My favourite Steam review so far.

What's everyone talking about this "Vault-Tec workshop?" This is clearly the PC release of Fallout Shelter.

From what I've experienced, the quest for this DLC is just too skeletal. No conversations about the Overseers past, explaining to her what the world is like outside, just right to work. So far I've only managed to clear out all of the tunnels and caves, and sweet lord did that just go on and on. Clearing a wall of rubble, to only then quickly switch to combat is clunky as all hell. I feel like this could have been done better by having you plant C4, moving back, blowing it up and then heading in, without ever having to go into Settlement Mode. I do like the share size of the place, that we're given enough room for a couple of Vaults, yet the janky nature of building killed it for me. Too many times did I find myself saying, "Fit, you fucker!" Or to start building rooms a certain way, only to then discover I couldn't make it work and had to undo parts of it, or that I needed to place support structures if I wanted higher floors. Frustrating.

It's all very mixed for me, but I will point out a few good things: The Vault comes with a massive water plant that produces 100 water, there's two new buildable reactors for power, and the entire settlement's huge and competes with Spectale Island for share building room. That's about it, though.

I haven't gotten far enough to preform experiments or to see what the rewards are like.

Edit: Corrected the amount of water produced from the plant.

Did not expect that kind of a review. Starts off almost glowing, but then the cracks start to show. Even the fanboys are sick of this shit.

What the... What the fuck is this intro ?
"Aw man ! I'm sorry ! I broke your vault !" after being ejected by an explosive on a bike ? Is that what "vault experiments" are about ? Making your own people explode if they make enough sport ?

"You can't play the slot machine. You just sit and get a luck boost."
    I'll let you digest that.

Yea I'm not clicking on that buzzfeed clickbait crap lol. I've heard the word "Salutations!" quite enough.

This youtube spam is nothing more than free marketing for the laziest cash grab in the history of videogames.
