Never seen anything Rage, so I can't compare. This looks wacky and zany in Wasteland style, so I suppose that is okay. I like the graphics, way better than in WL2.
I could only stomach 54 seconds, the voice over and the scenes don't match at all and it makes my ears uncomfortable. At least it had gameplay in it I suppose. Even if it is quite barren.
What is it with game companies feeling the need to make post-apocalyptic games over the top and wacky. Rage 2 and now this. You can still have a dark and serious post-apocalyptic game while still being funny. Fallout 1 was more hilarious sometimes then games today that try way too hard to be funny, shit games like saints row 3.
Someone else post this to the news section. @Proletären Going back on suicide watch. So....out....of....touch......
I bet they made Scotchmo the narrator, because he was so popular in Wasteland 2. And yeah, Wasteland was always wacky.
If anything, Wasteland 2 wasn't wacky enough, and I'd expect Wasteland 3 to make up for that. I just hope they don't go all Saints Row IV with it. On that note, I tried Saints Row IV and I could not stand that game. One example of their humour is that they renamed the white house the "white crib" after the Saints took over. White crib? This edit I created pretty much sums up SRIV:
I wonder if the rest of companions return (I'll be annoyed if only Scotchmo returns, as he was the one that sacrificed himself in my playthrough. I guess booze can save you from the nuclear bomb).
