After 1 it's very varied and colorful so I'd say definitively. I think the biggest issue mostly is animations being sometimes a bit janky and weird and it's probably something they're gonna have iterated on by the next game.
None of the games have ever forced to play coop nor have you ever needed to join it to make a particular section easier because how how multiple players affect scaling and your own power curve. The only thing is "gee it's a bit weird there's not the other three canonical people coming along at all" but that's not being forced it's just a concession for not having a whole three AI baboons bloating your scaling.

Also jeez what's all this fuckin' drama it's the first mostly fine instance of an EGGS exclusive. There were no broken promises, no weird middle ground with a steam store page existing for years prior, kickstarters or... anything at all. On top, it's only 6 months of exclusive period, the remastered version of the first game is free on steam for owners of the original and same thing for the Handsome Collection with a similar if not as extensive treatment. And, if by "Crossplay Multiplayer" they also mean Steam, there won't be an issue of splitting the player base up. That's... pretty much it. The butthurt is a bit too mach and I say that thinking the EGGS is shit too, I'll just yarr to give it a test because it has no refunds and get it if I like what I'm seeing, or otherwise wait six months and get the added bonus of patching, updates or even the DLC across that wait. Boom.

Starting to rant about how Xi Jinping is totally spying on you through Fortnite (even when EGS is still blocked in China) based off a 4chan copy pasta made by an idiot who doesn't understand how programs work is just silly methinks. The few other arguable points I'm not gonna go into because I'm having this argument three times a day already.

Oh course you would stick up for Epic Games. You are one of the biggest shills for corporate gaming so it doesn't surprise me.

Me: "I think Eggs is shit I just believe most of the talking points are unfounded almost xenophobic nonsense distracting from the real issues, may or may not use it for BL3 depending on how things turn out"
    ...Okay.

    What is "corporate gaming" again?

There are a lot of things I like but don’t wanna stare at for hours. But imo the best part of BL is the graphics. There’s nothing redeeming in story or gameplay so the cell shaded loveliness is all it has to offer me.

No it's fine. I love when people talk about other stuff on threads I make. Makes things more interesting.

Oh I wasn't saying it's a deal-breaker for me, more that it's just not what I'm used to. I usually try to refrain from passing judgement on games I haven't played. Unless of course it's obvious the game is shit... like FO76.

    Nobody:
I'm making following posts more and more brief to see what can you desperately try to turn into an argument at the lack of will to honestly argue with the other points, don't mind this disclaimer.

So, what do you think about Atari's VCS?

Not really big into Atari but I like that they are bringing back classic games. It is a step up from Nintendo making you buy old hardware in order to play the older games. Plus it has Linux support so that is a step up from Epic.

Neither did I. Had an Atari when I was little but that thing has been lost to time. No idea what happened to it. Would love to find some older consoles. Perhaps I could find some reasonably priced on Ebay.

I bought an NES at a flea market and it made my life (I was like 12). Nowadays I have a toploader that I never use and is covered in dust.

Atari is still a thing, except it's a shitty company compare to their former selves. Few things that I know are that they made one of the worst rated steam game called Rollercoaster Tycoon World with a score of 20ish percent, and making a console which is literally a paid Atari emulator, at least that's how I remember it.

And there was that E.T. game fiasco for the Atari 2600.

Interesting that your started this thread RangerBoo,

For the last couple of days I have been thinking a lot about buying the Borderlands 2 collection as I really want to play a new somewhat Sci-Fi ish shooter. I have also been looking at Generation Zero but as the reception for that title is rather mixed I have decided to wait until it is on discount.

Thing is, while I thought Borderlands 1 was okay I do not like Borderlands 2 much because of the humor (it is not my thing). And people here talk about how it is much more coop focused, I never got very far in Borderlands 2 so I have not reached the part yet that led to frustration for other posters here.

As for Borderlands 3 being an Epic Store exclusive, I am not surprised any more.
Not that it really matters for me because going through this thread has already convinced me not to buy the Borderlands 2 Collection because of various reasons so 3 would most definitely not be my thing.

I am okay with the graphic style but I would like to see a different more single player story driven game with such type of graphical look (not the same designs).
EX Troopers by Capcom could have been that title but there is no PC port and it never left Japan.

As for retro gaming, these last two weeks I was really thinking a lot about buying a couple of old SNES games that have emotional value for me (Interplay titles; Lost Vikings 1 & 2, Rock N Roll Racing, Blackthorne, Robocop vs the Terminator).
But what was also a lot on my mind was that these games in any decent and complete state are so hideously expensive, it would cost quite some of my savings.
I would also not play them as I can also do so through Emulator.

So basically I would just buy a couple of very expensive dust collectors and if I decided to sell them again I might not even get the money that I paid for them.

I still look fondly back at these games even if not all of them were very good but it is just not worth the money.

Yeah I think we can all look as aspects of Borderlands fondly, but for me I could just never truly enjoy them. Then again, I love Skyrim, so don't take my word for much.

I don't see in any possible way how was the thread in any way helpful or accurate into prviding perspective into the franchise, but either way, I'd reccomend Tales from the Borderlands. Story based, exact same art style, Telltale's best or second best game. And it most likely ties into BL3 if you were to change your mind.

Goddamn, salty much Arn? We’ve had people from all sides of the fence weigh in on how they feel about BL. Dunno what thread you’ve been reading.

...What? I’d ask the same question?
“Uh cringe something something Randy’s a pedophile”
    “Don’t really care and no?”

Isn’t exactly very deep or documented discussion about a game that isn’t even out yet with no gameplay avaleible. Not mechanics, content, or even the story itself, but cringe and it’s publishing status on release? I have my reservations but nobody but maybe Outsider argued against this lol
