Do you guys think it's possible that the PC from Fallout 2 or 'The Chosen One' could appear or be mentioned in an upcoming DLC for New Vegas? He would most likely still be alive and around the age of the Remnants and there's also this location

    http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Wrecked_Highwayman

which means that he visited the Mojave wasteland sometime in between the events of Fallout 2 and NV. Perhaps the Chosen One's travels might have taken him to the Big Empty, the Great Divide, or New Canaan.

He could also have had something to do with Ulysses or even Victor, as it was never explained why Victor couldn't show up to help you during 'Ghost Town Gunfight'.

I don't know, I just felt it was a little odd that the Chosen One wasn't well known in the wastelands. In Fallout 2 you saw that the Vault Dweller was pretty much worshipped as a god by the wastelanders after the events of Fallout 1, so it felt weird that there were only a couple references to the CO.

Very few people knew what happened to the Enclave, so very few people knew that the Chosen One destroyed them.

And Mr House controls Victor, so it was him who made Victor avoid the gunfight.

But I don't think that the Vault Dweller stopping the Master would be common knowledge either, but people still remembered him for doing other things. Without the Chosen One the NCR would still just be the city of Shady Sands, he helped them take control of Vault 15 and Vault City so you think he'd at least get his face on some NCR money or something.

That's because Marcus was at Navarro with him, other than that there aren't really many references to the Chosen One. The only other references are from one of the Remnants (can't remember which one), Klamath Bob, and possibly when Cass talks about "Long Dick Johnson" (One of the names you can pick at Golden Globes is 'Johnson Long').

It was the Vault Dweller who helped shady sands expand. And the vault dweller was remembered because Tandi and Aradesh formed the NCR on the ideals he stood for. The Chosen One wasn't really working with the NCR to destroy the enclave.

The Vault Dweller helped Shady Sands expand but the Chosen One was the the person who changed NCR from one city into an entire nation. IIRC President Tandi even tells you that your help in taking Vault 15 gives the NCR a foothold in the wastelands which allows them to expand.

It is possible, but i'd doubt it.

Only the car's trunk is visible...meaning if the Chosen One was behind the wheel, he probably would have either crashed into that toxic mud and died, or crawled out, probably having a crippled limb, and walked away.

The NCR had already assimilated most of the locations known from Fallout 1 before the Chosen One as much as learned about the existence of the republic:

The NCR in FO2 are already in the middle of various expansion misions when you get out of Arroyo, They have caravans going aroudn the wasteland and asimilatign settlements, yo ucan even work as caravan guard, they weren't just a twon, and the CHosen one didn't do any political moves that could help them expand, aside from helping Bishop get some political power inside the republic.

The Chosen One helped the NCR take Vault 15 back from the raiders, which IIRC Tandi said gave them a foothold to take control of everything North of NCR. Not to mention that he exposed a corrupt member of NCR's government to Tandi. All of this allowed the NCR to grow into the superpower they are in New Vegas. You'd think he'd get some kind of recognition for this.

So the chosen One helped them take some un fertile settlement full of squatter that would probably die soon, so they could scavenge the Vault for soem tecnologie.

But why would Mr. House want the Powder Gangers to take over Goodsprings? Also, stopping Victor from helping put the Courier's life in danger, which would make Victor saving the Courier's life earlier pointless. House wouldn't save the Courier then let him get killed by criminals, it just doesn't make sense.

I always felt like the Victor not helping you fight the Powder Gangers was another subplot that was left unfinished just like the one about the courier who turned down the job.

I don't think the chosen one will appear only because he doesn't have a canon face, you cant show the chosen one's face because there are millions of different chosen one's, i don't know if im expresing myself correctly, maybe there'll be some references t the chosen one like the highwayman, but I dont think he will appear, unless he is walking ahead of you and you can only see his back or something, you know what I mean?

Millions? I count two: Male Player Character Model and Female Player Character Model. :P

I'm with you, though, and I think you're right-- it would be a bad move to include the character directly in the game. I can't remember, but I don't think they've nailed down nearly as much to canon with the Chosen One as they did with the Vault Dweller, and I sort of like it that way. They even avoid definitive reference to the chosen's gender in NV, IIRC, with Marcus going so far as to use semi-clunky phrases like "my friend" in place of anything more gender-specific. I actually think it would be kind of a refreshing surprise if she turned out to be female.

Including the Chosen One in some other way than a small hint would be a really lame and stupid move. It just doesn't fit and I see no need to add him/her at all. You have to ask yourself: Would an encounter with him/her add anything valuable? I really doubt.

Actually I think it could be awesome.
But they need to make him more like Vault Dweller, and how he responds in his journal. Kinda like Mad Max. And if he gives you any quests or if he doesn't you see him traveling, after some time he disappears again and you are left to wonder.
But that doesn't sound like Chosen One at all...more like the Vault Dweller.
Anyway, isn't he in New Arroyo now?

what I meant was that in millions of playthroughs, you have millions of chosen ones, they could be ripped or a wet noodle , maybe INT - 3 or a genius, etc...

    You know what I mean?

Yamu: The Chosen One is pretty much confirmed to be male. If you sleep with Mrs. Bishop without a condom in your inventory one of the end cutscenes talks about her getting pregnant with your child and that he never finds out who his real father is.

In New Vegas, there's a man in Novac who says he's on the run from a "Mr. Bishop" from New Reno.
