Bland dungeon design filled with bland enemies, a recipie for bleh. Well sometimes they mix it up with evil wizards... who all wear boring black robes.

Those caves with the ships in them are really cool though.

There was a really cool dungeon, forgot the name sadly, where you don't fight any enemy, but rather solve puzzles as strange, eerie balls of lights appear and lead your way. There are more and more of them, you expect an ambush, but nothing comes. Only when you reach the final chamber do the lights combine into a boss who drops a unique helm (the one Draug Deathlords wear). It was very atmospheric and fun, much better than slogging through yet another horde of Draugr or bandits or whatever. I've only encountered a single dungeon like that, sadly.

Oh, and the Dwemer Ruins are generally good too. And can't forget Blackreach, that was over way too fast.

They never said anything was from Scratch. Certainly implied it was all new content but never declared it so. One week to half ass cut content good enough for part of a video.

I haven't played too much, but the Eldergleam Sanctuary is great and I loved Broken Oar Grotto.

Not sure if anyone had seen this but the 1.5 update is including a number of new kill animations and kill cameras. They noted in the blog that they intend to release more improvements/extras to the game in addition to the bug fixes the patches are bringing:

"We plan on adding even more features with upcoming free updates and game add-on content."

Personally, I'm a fan of suplexing people.

Extra ways to watch a person die is hardly an incentive to go back to that game. Still, it's nice that Beth is releasing this content for free. In a way, It's sad when you get somewhat excited at the thought of free content for mainstream games these days. If this where EA or Activision, this would no doubt be Day 1 DLC.

So people are praising the company because they give them some slight bugfixes and extra awesome button cams? :D Thank god Obsidian was so filthy to never do patches for New Vegas, even their devs in their free tim... oh, wait.

    Still, lets praise Bethesda instead!11

Oh, I wasn't praising them. It still can't change the quality of their games. I was simply stating the sad truth that I've gotten so used to DLC, that when useless content is announced free, it gets a few seconds of my attention. Even worse, if this was coming from one of the bigger publishers, they would be charging out the ass for the extra kill cams.

I havent played the game yet I'm just saying going by bethesda's track record this is a step up for them. I was suprised they release anything new, for free. Not sure but isn't this a first from the horse armor DLC specialists? Thats all, no need to break out the torches and pitchforks over it.

^Yeah I agree. I dislike Bethesda most of the time, but free updates like that are very much appreciated. Now, I still won't play Skyrim, but it's a step in the right direction. I suppose we can expect animations like that for Fallout 4 now? Maybe they should work on the collision detection though because that suplex looks like shit.... Other than the fact that it is retarded. Slitting throats is all good, but wrestling moves feels off somehow.

I actually really dig Skyrim. Looking forward to whatever the the dlc coming out for it will be. Love the leveling system but probably not for FO. Relative to alot of the other crap out there "COUGH Kingdoms of Amular COUGH" it is a really good game and feels fresh unlike the long dead horse development of call of duty games too.

They also realeased an HD texture pack DLC for free. I don't dislike Betehsda as much as most peopel here, I think that if we have to have corporate Douchebags I prefer them being like Bethesda instead of being like EA or Ubisoft.

    Hi all,

Sorry if off-topic but I was wondering if you can help me.

I am looking for a mod that enables free camera look while in 3rd person. I hate current 3rd person camera... I want to be able to freely rotate camera while moving in 3rd person as it gives me opportunity to look at my surroundings while moving in certain direction.

    Thx for help.

Keep in mind that Good writing when Beth is concerned probably just means "not horrible."

Then again, Dawnguard wasn't that horrible...except for the very end where they went "screw choices, lets give the player the exact same outcome regardless of faction."
    Yes, I am bitter.

At least it looks like they put a good amount of effort into the expansion. Whole new island with lots of new enemies, items, quests, and generally stuff to do. I love the return for Oblivion, I passed the SKyrim DLCs so far but I'll probably get this one once its on PC.

Well, yeah, but it's changed and doesn't have the same layout and all that. They didn't port the Bloodmoon island, they made a new Solstheim is all I'm saying.
