Fallout 2 mod Fallout Sonora 1.15 and Sonora Dayglow 1.15 Vanilla Translation

@NovaRain - That CCNina.ssl had a lot of issues. The macro already contains the check for GVAR_SANTAANA_QST_DIALOG, so I think the whole if block can be replaced by the macro, unless I am missing something.

This script also has two somewhat mutually exclusive paths, the spanish and english ones. I need to make sure the macro doesn't cross them over.

Nice catch on the '260' also. - fixed now.

Hi @Cambragol , are you planning for a release of the updated translation (without CE)?
It would be nice to get one, it seems you fixed a lot since v1.04.

When doing the Sonora BoS quests where you fight Raiders, I have seen some Spanish "text above npc" be missing punctuation or not seemed to make sense. I wasn't able to screenshot them. Is there a place where I can take a look at those texts and provide feedback?

@fanboy - Yes, I am thinking one last release before I go full English version. However, I am on the fence, and tied up with coding on Fallout 2 CE at the moment. There have been a lot of fixes, but I will have to sit down and carefully pull together the release, as it has been some time, and the process is prone to error.

@DweltVauller - this is the place to report any feedback. The Spanish translations have their special characters removed currently, but I have overcome that technical hurdle long ago, so eventually I can add them back. However, if there are nonsensical Spanish, please post here. I did have a Spanish speaker go over them, so I would hope there was nothing too serious.

I took some notes. I want to clarify I do not speak Mexican-Spanish, but these expresions sound too neutral. I am puting some examples but I would suggest finding a Mexican to add more context or juice.

1) ¡Aplastémolos como cucarachas!

This is the only expresion that I found correctly punctuated (tilde and start bang) but it is missing an S.

I also think it does not go well with the Fallout lore (cucaracha = roach) as they are always making fun of pre-bomb animals. For example, the single headed brahmin. I would like to propose "cuca-rads" or some other variation others can suggest, I cant think of a better option.

2) Detente o disparare.

9) Bajate, miserable cucaracha!
¡Al suelo, miserable cuca-rad!

10) Aun no has visto a nuestro ejercito.

Fixes without changing expressions:

  • Aún no has visto a nuestro ejército.

I am sure there are more but these were the ones I took notes of.
