They ripped off quite a few scenes from other games.
This mod is like someone trying to make a Fallout game out of a GMOD roleplay server.
Am I the only one that thinks drawing underage My Little Ponies isn’t a big deal at all? Like who gives a fuck, he’s just a weirdo, it’s not like he’s harming children or anything. This whole fiasco is entertaining but it really has nothing to do with how bad The Frontier is.
The devs are using him as a scapegoat. All he did was the icons and touching up some armor textures.
I think its broadly emblematic of the sort of perverted autistic freaks that infest most fandoms, and are a big reason of why "The Frontier" failed, even if this particular perverted autistic freak wasn't really super significant in the grand scheme of things. But generally, the disconnected sort of spergy ideas, where things were obviously put in because they were either titillating or "kewl" to some weirdo. Its a pretty big problems with most collaborative fiction [projects online, unfortunately
Female armor meshes, ground objects for the armor, and melee weapons too. Someone else chimed in that he was one of the folks vocally against the America slavery bit too, which is funny because the guy that wrote the Crusaders tried pushing the blame for the creepy stuff on him.
In the grand scheme, he seems one of the few that wasn't shoving his kinks into the mod. And he still got screwed over.
These make the game significantly easier more often than not so that may be why.
I also wasn't a fan of some of the lore in the New Vegas Bounties series, there were some missions where your enemies are ostensibly more powerful than some of the vanilla factions and aren't mentioned at all outside of that single quest. The Metal Gear Solid influenced quest where you are in the super advanced bunker filled with like two dozen crazy powerful mercenaries comes to mind but there were others.
Looks like we found another one for the pyre, boyos.
Next time someone wants to help with a big mod or project then maybe they shouldn't use the same account name that's associated with your deviantart account that you use to draw your disgusting fetishes for everyone to see.
Oof! Ezra does have a point. Zu was not the person that put in America, the weird teenage sex stuff, scalie fetish fuel or deathclaw sex. If you can believe it Zu was the one that tried to get that stuff cut from the final version. Which leads me to believe that there are way worse degenerates then Zu on the dev team.
Well, as much as we can laugh at the Frontier there are still some upsides to it. Standalone vehicles mod is being worked on:
Well, the Steam page for the mod has been taken down. 7 years of work completely undone in a few days. This mod will will be remembered, just not in the way that the devs originally intended, in how not to manage a large project. This is the type of thing that should and probably will be teach in college classes on game development.
This is a huge setback for modding on this scale too. As much as I didn't care for New California I have to give them credit where it's due. This though? Man. I just hope anyone who was planning on modding on this scale isn't deterred by this mod's awful communication, handling, and outright childish finger pointing. This whole thing is fun to watch unfold yeah, but I hope it doesn't stifle creativity in the future. Let this be an example to projects in development now and later down the line. Not even for just Fallout, but "DLC-sized/TC" mods for games in general.
It's a message that tonality and consistency with the original product is well-liked, and the opposite greatly disliked.
I'll say that i dislike that a lot of these mods for the 3D Fallouts focus more on the zany aspects of the series and not more on the serious tones. What i'm saying is that i would like for modders to focus more on the tone of Fallout 1 in their mods since that's the most consistent game tone wise. Not saying it shouldn't have zany stuff, it just feels modders are more biased towards it.
To me, the serious stuff is far memorable than the wacky shit.
Every mod ends up fucking up massively in something though, like TTW being extremely overrated and people annoying modders by asking compatibility for it constantly, some of the devs being cucks, the ruined balance by adding perks from both games together, allowing the player to become a overpowered combat god in minutes, and the mod can also corrupt your entire game at any moment as well, also not very lore friendly.
After new vegas bounties 1, the difficulty curve went to the moon by making almost every single enemy have more than 15 DT with high caliber weapons, basically they are bullet sponges that can do a shitload of damage, and a lot of the areas have TOO MANY enemies, making it a complete clusterfuck, and the mod can also corrupt your savefile if you are inside an area added by it.
However all of these mods have been play-tested to death and the developers made sure they were atleast stable enough to be playable, while the frontier is filled wth countless bugs and is also pretty unstable, most of my playthrough went like this:
OH NO THE ARTILLERY GUN IS POINTING AT US
