The guns makes sense, if you accept that less restrictive clothing would boost agility (and thus boost guns) the +2 to guns is from clothes that are slightly more restrictive, but not as restrictive as say a suit.

The labcoat and the luck bonus on the naughty nightwear make less sense though.

There are safe houses for just about every faction scattered around the desert, I can only assume you can get keys for any of them based on your reputation. I am using the NCR Ranger safehouse right now.

I have a feeling the number of songs is connected to the progress with the main quest. I started getting new songs after arriving in Nipton, and after Novac.

Is it so? If so, I'll go with a modded radio (there're radio mods already) because I've never been to the south-east part of the map :).

Meh, who needs the radio anyway. I like the ambient music.

LOL, that's what I'm talking about. It plays on every station I'm pretty sure. I wish they had segregated the music genres a bit more.

I have to agree, the middling quality music is about the one thing New Vegas did worse than 3 on.

I think the music is not bad quality, it just seems like written above: Songs are limited to the actual game progress? However, if someone says the radio feels repitative, I felt the same and can understand it. But then again, thanks to the really good background music, I don't listen a lot to the radio.. unlike in Fallout 3, where I couldn't stand the annoying background music.

The radio stations were something I loved in Fallout 3, I could listen to Malcolm McDowell's voice for hours and I wouldn't care what he was saying. Likewise, a lot of the songs on GNR were great and just seemed to fit the environment with a strange contrast.

Other than the Rat Pack music and a couple other songs (Jingle Jangle) I've been disappointed with the musical selection. I wish they'd segregated the genres a bit more and made Vegas radio primarily Sinatra/Martin/Davis/etc. Every second song seems to be "Big Iron" but I don't think it should even be on Vegas radio? I feel like I might be going crazy. Every room I walk into with a radio seems to be playing it... even if the station they're listening to is playing a completely different song.

As I'm typing this, I can hear that it just came on again in the other room...

Do you mind explaining what you felt was so "FO3" about the REPCONN quest? It seemed more FO2 than anything, but maybe I am not factoring in something else that you are perceiving.

Like Ausdoerrt said, the facility may have had an FO3 feel to it (which I also have trouble seeing), but the quest itself was great because of the inner conflict it caused and the various ways you could solve it. I just hated the god damn enemies you had to fight:

I have no problems with super mutants in dark, close quarters passage ways as in FO3's Vault 87, but stealthed mutants that don't just pop out of stealth but also CHARGE YOU is fucked. I fought two before I had enough, so then I decided to Stealth Boy it up and make both Davidson and Harland happy at the same time. My guy isn't even a Stealth character ffs.

Hopefully fighting Nightkin outside in the day will be more enjoyable because then I can actually see their blurry lines in the air.

Seriously, is it bugged? Between this, the Xbox memory leak, and the Xbox game breaking bug, I'm just frowning upon Obsidian's dev team.

    @Big Iron references

I actually don't mind that song. The song that haunts my dreams is Johnny Guitar.

"dun dun dun dun dun like my JOHNNY!! OHHH JOHNNY GUITAAAARRR!"

God damn it, it belongs in a horror movie.

That's exactly how I feel. So Ive turned off my radio.
Every time I enter a house, the first thing I do is turn off their radio. It's odd, but it seems almost everyone seems to have a radio. And it's playing even when they sleep. :D

    - Lack of complete idiot conversation options if you have abysmal intelligence.
    - Lack of npc responses to seeing me in power armor
    - No quick travel locations inside the strip
    - Crafting recipes requiring too many distinct and rare items to be useful or practical
    - Crows showing up as npcs on the compass
    - Encountering invisible walls on just about every ridge as you run off to explore

[spoiler:9e0ff3911c]-Strip Securitrons attacking you after Yesman is installed

I ran up to the NCR embassy in brother hood armor, killed a few NCR MPS in self defense and was set upon by the robots I was supposedly in control of.[/spoiler:9e0ff3911c]

    - Near constant thirst sickness
    - Practically nonexistent sleep deprivation sickness (seems you only need to sleep once a week)

If you shoot them outside of VATS, they will explode-- which I assume is why they show up.

You know, that was just pretty small thing in Fallout 2, but damn I did liked it when people made comments like "how do you go to the toilet in that thing ?" or "youre looking like a refrigenerator" :D

Anyway, no clue how the PA works in Vegas but I assume its not much different to F3 ... so what I dont like is that since Bethesda took over PA has become the poor mans platearmor : / ... it also looks quite stupid ~ it doesnt even increase your size !

It doesn't increase your size, because it would require new human animations, which is kind of a waste of time to make.

Also New Vegas actually *has* modified animations for the power armor. When wearing a power armor, the player stands a little bit more bulkier.

I like how rare power armor is in New Vegas, btw.
