I'm surprised she hasn't been perma banned
I figured it was Graves being summoned by the mention of Dark Souls 3.
I think it's DS2 the one he hates tho?
He hates the sequels. Which is fair since they aren't as well done. DS3 though has some undertones and ideas that I hadn't considered before that make me appreciate it more. DS2 can still get blasted. Some ideas were good, many were good on paper, and plenty were bad ideas that still happened.
I agree with him on this, From Software's Souls-like titles are best in their original entry. Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro all stand out above DS2 and 3.
After DS3 I will start Sekiro as well.
Prepare to feel like shit. Sekiro has a similar basis to the mechanics and systems of the games but is very different. It's arguable that Souls veterans have a harder time with Sekiro than newcomers. It's a matter of learning new habits that worked for the other games just fine.
It wasn't all that bad for me but damn there's a boss or two that I just can't stand fighting. Like that stupid bull.
This is a very minor issue, but every time I load DS3 game it shows me the patch notes before getting to the main menu. This seems totally unnecessary to show the player every time they play. Can we disable this?
I just hit A or X button and don't worry about it.
I've been playing Outriders recently.
After finishing all the content for Dragon Age Origins, I decided to play Dragon Age II, only for me to get bored of it after a couple of hours.
I love Dragon Age Origins, a fine Role-Playing Game with a few flaws, yet the writing, the characters, the world, the gameplay, and the extra content alongside the expansion "Awakening" are really great!
Sure it's not perfect, like I mentioned before, but this game definitely became one of my favorite video games. (Especially in the Role-Playing category)
For Dragon Age II, I can't say that it's a bad game, yet so far... I can tell it's rushed.
So I'll get back to that, after I finish Outriders.
I played Resident Evil Remake 1 recently. Finished Jill and Chris's campaigns and while it took some getting used to, I enjoyed my time with the game. Crit headshots are music to my ears everytime.
Started re-playing RE2 Remake to try get S+ ranks. Boy, it ain't easy. Had to master how to knife Birkin to save time and ammunition.
EDIT: I'm looking forward to Village as I also finished a Madhouse Run of RE7. Helps that I speed ran normal difficulty and got all the rewards from doing so.
I'm glad that Ethan is going to be the main protagonist. I even jinxed it. What do you think about Ethan being the main protagonist?
Last of Us II. Wasn't gonna buy it, but found it used for a good price so i got it anyways.
The start (first 3h) are good i think. Graphics and atmosphere is a 10/10, like i would have expected.
Gameplay, the same old - not great, not terrible. Since i work with graphics i just had to check it out, it can be very inspirational.
Fallout 2. Haven't played it in years. Time for another playthrough.
Fallout Yesterday. Gonna try to help out to do some graphics for it (mainly nature/environment). Still need to learn the basics of modding it though, i'm only used to 3D, fun to try something different.
The start is pretty cool. Haven't gotten that far.
I like him in that he's an average person who gets pulled into the mess of a Resident Evil protagonist. He's not my all-time favorite (for me, tied between Leon and Jill) but he is fine for what he is.
That said, I'm glad to see from the demo that he emotes a lot more than he did in RE7 and that he has improved his skills a bit (i.e learning how to tactically reload pistols, carries an attaché case for inventory etc.)
Haha, exactly what I felt throughout the gameplay in RE7, it's like I can easily put myself in his shoes, same things I may possibly do if this nightmare happens to us.
Finished the Demo for Miitopia on the switch, fun 'baby's first JRPG' type of game. Had fun looking through all the creations on 4chan threads and getting them into my game.
I recently bought Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2, and I am now working my way through DA1.
As I mentioned in the FOBOS thread I created, the differences in design and effort between Dark Alliance and FOBOS is like night and day.
The team that made FOBOS did not just mangle Fallout lore, they damn half assed it on the stupid game itself as well. (and like hell FOBOS2 would have been better)
While DA1 can be rather repetitive gameplay wise, it is a pretty PS2 game to behold and it shows what the Snowblind Engine could really do.
Perhaps I should reconsider playing Baldur's Gate 1, 2+Throne of Bhaal, and perhaps 3?
Still not really a fantasy games fan though, but with sci fi gaming being so lacking in general these last couple of years. (yes, I know about Colony Ship)
The early games are excellent (IMO), and there is even a (damnably hard to find) Fallout easter-egg, if you play all three through to the end.
@topic, I have started The Immortal, and W40k: Deathwing.
I have finished Outriders recently, and it's a great experience with friends.
It does have its own flaws like technical issues, world tiers, and a lack of offline single player akin to Diablo 3.
Now that's out of the way, I have been playing a game that's akin to Final Fantasy, but it's an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Mistwalker's Lost Odyssey was released in Japan first, then internationally in 2008.
After that, I can get back to Dragon Age 2, the sooner the better!
